WATCH: Clout opens up on his harness racing journey

Geoffrey Clout is one of harness racing’s many hobby participants and has a deep love for the sport that’s only grown since moving to Australia from New Zealand about two decades ago.

The 42-year-old father of two owns and trains from a wonderful property in Tyabb, which is just a short drive from the Cranbourne Harness Racing Club.

Clout has trained 14 winners and 36 placegetters since taking out a licence in 2019-20 and rates My Superannuation’s victory during the 2021 Mildura carnival as one of the major highlights of his career so far.

Harness Racing Victoria’s Nikkita Ross caught up with Clout to share his story in a special video feature that can be viewed below.

It was a day to remember for Aaron Dunn. Not only did he go back-to-back from last year to this year in the Matthews Petroleum Hamilton Pacing Cup, he also trained the quinella, with Forty Love taking the honours and last year’s winner Dee Roe finishing second, driven by Jackie Barker.
