Ladies In Red provided a spectacular highlight to Tuesday’s From The Horse’s Mouth broadcast live from the Tabcorp Park Melton trials.
The Emma Stewart-trained star had her first public hit-out since winning July’s Group 1 Rising Sun in Queensland and scored a narrow victory over stablemates Phoenix Prince and Mach Dan.
FTHM host Tim O’Connor chatted with Ladies In Red’s driver David Moran for an update shortly after her trial, while other special guests during the near three-hour production included trainers James Rattray and Nathan Purdon, Tough Tilly’s owner-breeder Craig Judd and young reinswoman Annalise Scott.
Professional punter and form guru Darren Carroll provided analysis of the day’s 10 trials from Melton and then closed the show with his key runners to follow from the afternoon’s action.
