Aldebaran Zeus has remained in the United States following his more-than-competitive display in the MGM Yonkers International Trot and earlier today showed he’s right on song for an overseas success with a slashing performance in his first run for new trainer Richard Norman.
Back at Yonkers once again, the five-year-old Victorian squaregaiter settled back in the field from his wide draw and then rocketed home for second behind Stormy Kromer in a mile rate of 1.54.3 over the 1609m trip.
The horse’s owner-breeder Duncan McPherson was thrilled with the performance and will now plot Aldebaran Zeus’ next start with Norman in the coming days.
