EL BOSTON (9) has opened favourite here but this does look a drop in grade and the early price is reasonable, so he looks a nice way to ease into a cracking program.
SUGGESTED BET: $20 Win on El Boston (9) at $2.50 or better.

Confidence:
LADIES IN RED (1) was super on debut and if she is able to boot through to lead early, she’s clearly the horse to beat. PLATINUM SPARKLE (5) is the definite danger but there doesn’t appear to be heaps of value in the market or and obvious path to exotics so we’ll just stay involved through Early Quaddies.
SUGGESTED BET: Nothing Significant.
Race 3
Confidence:
HONOLUA BAY (4) looks a serious talent and while this is a step up, he rates clearly on top in the bookies market and mine. MOONLITE DRIVE (3) does have talent and in a race which has few other genuine winning hopes, we can get stuck into trifectas.

ROGUE WAVE (2) was awesome on debut and should be winning again. TOUGH TILLY (5) is the clear second pick so this is another good exotic race.

Confidence:
The market has gone very aggressively in the favour of the two top picks and it isn’t hard to understand why but I thought this was a fraction wider and after the debut of GIVEITATRY (9), he looms as the value option of the night.
SUGGESTED BET: $20 Each Way on Giveitatry (9) at $8 or better.
Race 6
Confidence:
SWISS MISS (5) has the Kiwi form to be winning first time out in Australia but it’s not the easiest race to sort through so it’s better to stay out and let it unfold.

Race 7
Confidence:
MAJOR MOTH (4) already looms the horse to beat in this series so even though this is a bigger test than his debut, he’s a clear anchor. CAPTAIN OH CAPTAIN (8) hasn’t been singled out by the early market but I thought he could run second so we’ll play some small trifectas.

Confidence:
VOUCHERS (4) is racing well at the minute and the market looks pretty close. I did think ROCKING BUGATTI (1) would be a touch shorter but in an overall sense, there doesn’t appear to be too much here for us.

Race 9
Confidence:
BEACH MUSIC (5) is the unknown here but has trialled up well enough. Similar to the previous race, the market looks pretty close to how I saw it so we’ll hope by this stage we’re well in front for the night.

Early Quaddie
There’s plenty of ways to play this Early Quaddie and we could play a number of different staggers but the top pick in each race looks hard to beat so we’ll play aggressively and hope for a result.
