Get involved: Terang set to be a virtual blast

Trots fans will be brought into the fold for Saturday night’s racing at Terang with the host club crafting a Free Virtual Trots Ticket, which brings to the table a bevy of fun and a virtual front row seat.

All ticket holders can attend the Terang trots virtually on Saturday for the metropolitan race card, which includes feature races Christians Bus The Gammalite Pace, featuring Ride High, and the Volstead @ Haras Des Trotteurs Trot.

All ticket holders receive a Race Book (digital) and a access to a Virtual Happy Hour with the Victorian Harness Racing Club, including exclusive tips by Rob Auber.

They can also access wall-to-wall live coverage on Trots Vision at thetrots.com.au with exclusive content including:

  • Parade Ring previews by Paul Campbell
  • Post-race winning driver interviews
  • Pre-race analysis and selections by the HRV GoodForm expert

Virtual ticket holders will also get a free entry into the ‘Pick the Mile Rate Competition’, in which they enter what they think the winning mile rate will be for both the Christians Bus The Gammalite Pace and the Haras Des Trotteurs Trot.

The winner will receive dinner and accommodation at the home of harness racing, Tabcorp Park Melton.

Here’s some food for thought:

re: Christians Bus The Gammalite Pace

The current track record is 1:53.6. Will they break it? Will they break 1:50? Will they break local champion and new Goodtime Lodge stallion Jilliby Kung Fu’s career personal best overall time of 1:48.8?

re: Volstead @ Haras Des Trotteurs Trot

The current Track Record is 2.01.4. Will they break the track record? Will they break 2:00? Will they break Volstead’s personal best of 1:51.5?

In the event of more than one correct entry, one winner will be drawn from all correct entries.

It was a day to remember for Aaron Dunn. Not only did he go back-to-back from last year to this year in the Matthews Petroleum Hamilton Pacing Cup, he also trained the quinella, with Forty Love taking the honours and last year’s winner Dee Roe finishing second, driven by Jackie Barker.

While the ink is far from dry on the $500,000 Summer Of Glory bonus cheque, superstar mare Keayang Zahara is on track to provide her connections with a windfall after her effortless win in the Group 1 $100,000 Aldebaran Park Maori Mile.
