Nominate a great for the Victorian Harness Racing Hall of Fame

Who will join harness racing’s most illustrious club? The power is in your hands, with nominations open for this year’s Victorian Harness Racing Hall of Fame, which will be celebrated at Melton on Saturday, August 29.

Some 115 greats of the sport have been inducted into the Hall of Fame and 12 of those have been given Legend status, with Gavin Lang last year joining Gordon Rothacker, Maori’s Idol, George Gath, Globe Derby, Popular Alm, Vin Knight, Bill McKay, Edgar Tatlow, Gammalite, Scotch Notch, and Ted Demmler.

The Harness Racing Hall of Fame selection committee will meet in June to choose this year’s six inductees and decide whether a 13th member is worthy of Legend status.

Nominations close at 4 pm on Thursday, May 28, so don’t delay!
