SELECTIONS: LAMBRO MACH (7), KYORETSU (6), MAXY BOMBER (9), MONSIEUR FLAMEL (11)
OVERVIEW: LAMBRO MACH (7) settled down in a rearward position and was the widest runner when turning for home so his effort to finish fifth (5m) at Geelong last outing was sound. He hasn’t been at his best form for some time but his last run was encouraging and this appears to be a suitable assignment. KYORETSU (6) was resuming since June when he ran a reasonable race for sixth behind Emma Rox in the Homegrown Classic. He should be fitter from that performance and is worth thought. MAXY BOMBER (9) finished off quickly to win in a mile rate of 1.56.4 at Maryborough two starts ago. He has a reasonable trailing draw and should be hitting the line nicely again. MONSIEUR FLAMEL (11) performed a little below expectations last time out but he won three of his previous four attempts, including a big win at Shepparton, where he worked forward to lead, so he cannot be left out of calculations.
