OVERVIEW: ALLWATFUNJINGLES (4) doesn’t have the best numerical form, but he’s racing well. Last start he used the sprint lane and hit the line well. The start prior he had to do it tough and was not beaten far. He is racing well enough to win if he gets some luck here. ROBERT JOHN (2) has great gate speed and should be able to find the fence. He should be able to capitalise on the favourable race map. JESSICAS STORY (7) has been racing very well recently. She won from the sprint lane last start. She has an awkward barrier to contend with here, but she’s racing well enough to win with luck. ALWAYS SKYE HIGH (10) got her manners wrong early last start, and the run prior she seemed to struggle a bit early as well. Her two runs before that, though, were great. If she can trot throughout here, she has the ability to be competitive.

OVERVIEW: QUEEN OF SEES (2) is one of the best-bred trotting fillies in Australia, out of star mare Dance Craze and sired by Bold Eagle. She had two career starts last year for a second and a ninth. She certainly has ability and hit the line impressively in a recent Melton trial. She looks a nice filly to follow. JILLIBY RADIANCE (1) has had the one career start for a win at Maryborough. In that run, she found the front and held on to score. She will improve again from that performance. ALDEBARAN MIGUEL (10) galloped last start, caught the field and still hit the line well. It was an eye-catching performance. He will need to trot throughout here. SPIRITED GIGI (6) is a smart filly at her best. She wasn’t great when first up last start, but will improve from that performance.

OVERVIEW: KALARNEY PRINCE (2) is a flashy grey. He was second last start after leading and handing up. From barrier two, he should be able to find the fence here and map well. MADGE EGAN (5) has an awkward barrier, but drops notably in class here. She should perform well in this field. MONEY TALKS (9) has a good barrier to follow through behind KALARNEY PRINCE (2) early. He has the best sectional times in this field, although his numerical form doesn’t look great on paper. He should map well. CRESCO CASHFLOW (6) hit the line well last start and, with luck, can be competitive here.

OVERVIEW: MADAM REACTOR (7) was impressive getting back into the winners’ circle last start. She had to work to find the front and was then too good. DIVINE TILLY (1), at her best, is a smart mare. She was favourite in the race won by MADAM REACTOR (7) last start and probably had her chance there. It’s hard to look away from her though, as if she brings her best she would be winning this event. She will map well from barrier one. RAKAROMPA (6) is first up here in 151 days. She is a well-bred, lightly raced mare. She has had a few good trials leading into this run and, whatever she does here, she will improve on it. ALIZA HILL (8) was a good winner two starts back at Albury when racing tough in the breeze. If she doesn’t end up too far back on the fence, she is a great each-way chance here.

OVERVIEW: CAPTOTHEMAX (4) has had two career starts. He was checked on debut and hit the line okay in his second start. He has the best sectional times in this field and won a recent Bendigo trial. ASHANTE BOURBON (5) is a well-bred filly having her first career start here. She was third in the recent trial won by CAPTOTHEMAX (4). This is not a tough race, and she can find some race confidence here. Whatever she does, she will improve from it. BETTING ATTACK (1) has had only four career starts. He was fourth last start after racing in the breeze in fast time for his grade. He has gate speed and the ace barrier to use to his advantage. BOUNCED (9) has been performing okay in her two starts back this year. She has the ideal barrier to follow through early.

OVERVIEW: WESTERN SONADOR (6) and ULTIMATE VINNIE (7), at their best, are the classiest horses in this field. But they probably are not racing at their absolute best and both have awkward barriers. WESTERN SONADOR (6) hit the line really well last start in the Ouyen Pacing Cup after getting well back. ULTIMATE VINNIE (7) comes out of the recent 1200m Stampede at Melton, which has proven to be a good form race. He has good gate speed, but so do some of the runners drawn inside him, so it may be a tough run. MEDINA (3), on the other hand, is less experienced with only 13 career starts, but clearly has ability and is progressive. He was a good second last start in strong time. He has gate speed here and could map well. RABADA (2) finished 11th last start at Melton, but the performance was much better than it looks on paper. He had no clear run late and looked like he was going to storm home if the gaps came. He has a good

OVERVIEW: The unbeaten, Emma Stewart-trained MIDNIGHT MOTH (4) showed great gate speed to lead at this track last start. He raced clear and was just too good. He should find the front and win again here. ROCKNROLL WISH (6) is first up this year after winning his last two starts well last season. He has ability, but this is an awkward barrier. Stablemate SECRET SERVICE AGENT (7) is also a talented performer first up here. He comes into this race with a few nice trial performances and will need luck from the barrier, especially being first up. SOHO AMARYLLIS (1) broke through with her maiden victory last start. She looks likely to map behind MIDNIGHT MOTH (4) here and should get a perfect trip.

OVERVIEW: COMEANDSEE (3) a first starter for Emma Stewart. He won a Melton trial in a 1.56.3 mile rate. Respecting the stable’s outstanding record with first starters. KINGS GALLERY (7) has had two career starts. He was eye-catching on debut, storming home from well back in the field. He also hit the line well last start, coming home in a 26.7 quarter. He looks an up-and-coming feature race performer, but the barrier is awkward. ALS CHOICE (6) won on debut at Ouyen when leading. This is a tougher contest, but he has the winning confidence. OZZIE TART (2) is a Bettors Delight-sired filly who recently finished fourth in a trial against older horses. She has a good barrier here.

OVERVIEW: A very competitive trot event to start the meeting at Bendigo. KARBINE (5) is a talented performer who is at a point in his career where, with good manners, he is putting it all together. He has a great turn of foot, but he can also do it tough and make his own luck. It’s an awkward barrier for him as he doesn’t have the best gate speed, but he’s racing well. WATCH AND ACT (3) has good gate speed and will likely map well here. If he can map better than his main rivals, he is a good first four chance. ADELAIDE RED (11) is a Group 1-winning three-year-old filly taking on the older horses here. She was beaten 3.9 metres last start in the NSW Trotters Oaks. She is a brilliant filly, but this is a tough ask, especially from the unfavourable barrier. BULLAPARK BENO (8) is racing very well. He had the same barrier last start and, when he got off the fence late, hit the line hard. With luck, he’s a chance here. I also have a lot of respect for FAITH FULL (6), TICTOK (9) and WITH APLOMB (12) here.
