OVERVIEW: ALTA BAYAMO (4) began quickly to find the lead, kicked well clear approaching the home turn and held his rivals at bay to win his heat at Kilmore. He has been placed at his past seven starts and is shooting for four straight victories so he will take catching from his good draw. AMPHIJET (9) was held up for a run at a vital stage and finished off quickly for an eye-catching second in the Kilmore heat. He competed against strong opposition at Ballarat on Thursday night and he should be competitive under these conditions. MARLO MAREAU (5) has been placed in three of her past four starts and worked home quite nicely for third at Kilmore last outing. She has a reasonable draw and is worth a ticket each way. INDI PARTY MOOD (6) has been placed in four of his past five starts and endured a tough run at his latest fifth. He has claims along with OLLIES MEDAL (7) and CRAYONS TO PERFUME (10).

OVERVIEW: ZIPPING VOLSTEAD (4) will appreciate a big drop back in class for this assignment and possesses early speed so she will prove hard to beat. KARBINE (2) is racing consistently and strikes a suitable assignment now. He settled four back on the markers, angled wide on the home turn and finished off fast when a game third behind Rarity Rock last outing. TROTTERSMAKEMEGREY (9) overcame an early error to win impressively at Cranbourne two starts ago then broke stride on the home turn when unplaced at Kilmore. She has ability when she is able to put it altogether and is worth an investment. THE FASHIONISTA (7) finished off best to win at Bendigo on debut then made an error in a heat of the Nutrien Classic last outing. She has a tough draw to overcome but she is worth an investment. GIGGLE WATER (3) got home best to win at Kilmore last outing and is worth thought along with JOE LOU (5).

OVERVIEW: GLENLINE (9) settled four back on the outside, came out three horses wide from the 600m and finished off reasonably well for fourth behind Altius at Bendigo last outing. He possesses a strong finishing burst and should be hard to hold out in the run to the finish. DOT BALL (3) has been placed in five of her past six starts and looms as one of the leading chances. She worked home well for second behind GOZO MAJOR (7) at Cranbourne last outing. GOZO MAJOR (7) was successful after trailing the leader two starts ago then followed with a creditable fourth behind Spun Silver, where he was caught wide early then dropped back to a rearward position before working home well. He is widely drawn again but is capable of figuring in the finish. TEX GOES BANG (6) raced without cover throughout when second at Cranbourne three starts ago and is not without a chance.

OVERVIEW: NEW SHUFFLE (2) is resuming since a sixth behind the Queensland star Path To Greatness in the Nutrien Classic at Melton in April. He won a trial over the subsequent race winner Our True Colours in a mile rate of 1.57.8 at Melton recently and he should prove hard to beat against this line up. MAGIC MIKI (1) looms as the logical threat. He showed terrific acceleration over the final stages when he scored comfortably at his debut performance and he is drawn to receive every chance. ROYAL APPOINTMENT (8) competed at Metropolitan level at his past two attempts and he finished off quickly for fourth behind In An Ideal World last outing so he must be respected. CEE CEE LOU (4) is a tough type and is racing in good form while FUN TO LOVE (6) is not without a chance.

OVERVIEW: LOVE A BELLE (8) produced a very good performance when fifth behind Tallaras Shadow when competing at Metropolitan level two starts ago then finished off well for fourth at Cranbourne last outing. She has the perfect trailing draw and is worth an investment. CITY ROCKSTAR (4) led throughout at a Shepparton three starts ago and is drawn to find the lead again. She had every chance when ninth last outing but she met a strong field and she will find this race to be easier. STARLIGHT SASS (1) is rising in class on her recent performances but she performs best over the sprint distance and she is perfectly drawn so she warrants consideration. GIVE A FRED A CLAP (5), ARTIST (6) and OZZIE SUNSHINE (7) are all worth thought in multiple combinations.

OVERVIEW: FAITH FULL (5) continues to race in great form having had three wins and five seconds from her past eight starts. She pushed forward to find the front, dashed well clear over the concluding stages and was very impressive in winning at Kilmore last outing. MILITARY MERIT (3) pushed forward to find the lead and scored comfortably at Bendigo last outing. This is a field of more depth but he is worth thought again. SHES SKY HIGH (4) is resuming since July but she was a runaway winner at the Bacchus Marsh trials on Saturday so she is worth thought. AGAINST THE BRIDLE (7) progressed forward to find the lead and won clearly at Geelong last outing. He is a strong trotter and should be competitive again.

She has shown promise at her two starts to date and she gets her chance to break through for a win. ALWAYS ON SAFARI (3) attempted to lead throughout when third behind the smart juvenile pacer Vivid Dream at Geelong last outing. He is a good chance of finding the lead again and should take catching. GALLICO (1) was runner up behind Assigned (won again since) two starts ago then followed with a third behind Poster Perfect at Kilmore. He is drawn to receive every chance and is worth an investment. OVERVIEW: THE PREACHER (3) is a very talented juvenile trotter, which has impressively won two trials and strikes a suitable assignment first up. He is nicely bred and is worth following. ALDEBARAN AXL (4) is a brilliant beginner and is likely to find the lead shortly after the start. He is a maiden from 18 starts but he has been placed 10 times and is one of the main chances again. ITGETSBETTER (6) raced keenly in the leading role and peaked late when fourth at Bendigo last outing. He was runner up at Geelong three starts ago and is worth an investment. WALKIN UNDERSTARZ (8) has a few gait issues but she has ability when she is able to put it altogether so she must be kept safe.
EARLY SPEED: 4 (likely leader), 1,3,6
RATINGS: 3/ 4/ 6,8/ 1,2
OVERVIEW: PRECIOUS BELLE (4) has struck peak form having won two of her past three starts and looms as a winning chance again. She settled midfield, switched back to the inside and used the sprint lane when she dashed through to score at Cranbourne last outing. INEXORABLE (11) left a trailing position to move up without cover from the 1400m and battled on strongly for second in her heat performance. She is awkwardly drawn but is nearing a win against this class. WRITTEN IN SILK (7) raced without cover early, gained a trail at the bell and came out three horses wide at the quarter pole when she won the Kilmore heat of this series. She is widely drawn but is worth thought again. REGAL ROCK (3) is a fast beginner and has winning claims if he is able to find the lead around the first corner.
