SELECTIONS: TREACHEROUS DAN (5), SWEETHEART DIOR (1), EL LAZZAR (6), TRICODE (8)
OVERVIEW: TREACHEROUS DAN (5) returns to the races for the first time as a three-year-old here and he looks hard to beat in this maiden pace. His two juvenile runs were in the Nutrien series during April last year, with a second in the heat and then 10th when out the back from a bad gate in the final. He has trialled well for this – including a win at Melton on May 26 – and we know how often the Emma Stewart stable produces these types of horses to win races like this first-up from a long break. SWEETHEART DIOR (1) looks to be nearing a win after a gallant runner-up placing – with a good margin back to third – at Melton last Friday night, EL LAZZAR (6) looked to be running into things nicely on debut at Charlton before making a break and has trialled really nicely since, while TRICODE (8) looks to be one to include for the minor end of trifectas and First 4s from the soft inside back row draw.
