SELECTIONS: CARDIGAN JEM (5), THESTORMINU (4), LOUS MAMBO (3), SWIM SUIT (1)

OVERVIEW: CARDIGAN JEM (5) is an unraced colt for leading trainer Emma Stewart, which remains undefeated in two trials and recorded a sizzling final quarter of 26.9 seconds at his latest success. He is likely to attract plenty of support. THESTORMINU (4) is a debutante for trainer Craig Demmler, which has been placed in two trials and missed out narrowly at his latest second in a slick mile rate of 1.57.8 so he warrants respect. LOUS MAMBO (3) boasts the best form of those who have raced previously. He was left stranded without cover when third behind Boystrous last outing and should be competitive under these conditions. SWIM SUIT (1) is drawn to receive an economical trip and is worth thought in multiple combinations.

SELECTIONS: RUN FOREST RUN (4), DISTANT SUN (3), IM ABOVE THE LAW (2), WALLIS (5)

OVERVIEW: RUN FOREST RUN (4) is a very quick beginner from the standing start and should give a forward showing. He tried to sustain a long run from the 700m, hit the front turning out of the back straight and battled on well for second behind Kyvalley Judge last outing and he did lead throughout in record time from the standing start at Birchip on March 08. DISTANT SUN (3) settled in a rearward position and was very wide on the home turn when a handy finishing second behind Bennie And The Jets at Melton on Saturday night. He has only performed once from the standing start previously and that effort was in Sydney but he is a winning chance if he steps away cleanly. IM ABOVE THE LAW (2) commenced from the tough handicap of 40m and was driven aggressively when a handy third at Stawell last outing. This race is harder but he performs best when he is able to lead and he moves to the front line so he is worth thought. WALLIS (5) finished off best to win from the standing start two starts ago and is worth a ticket each way. SEBASTIANS BOY (9) is clearly the class runner of the field but his manners have been an issue and he galloped away at his only standing start performance to date, which was way back in April 2022!

SELECTIONS: ZIPPIN PAST (9), INSULATOR (8), DONNYOSKO (3), REGAL GALA (5)

OVERVIEW: ZIPPIN PAST (9) was able to win by a large margin at her debut performance and should prove hard to beat again. Admittedly, most of the field galloped during her first up victory but she appeared to be very professional and she was confidently backed after several good trial performances. INSULATOR (8) led throughout to win comfortably at his debut. He followed with a second behind ZIPPIN PAST (9) when he broke stride and lost approximately 80m, chased hard, got to second then broke stride under pressure in the latter stages. He has ability and is a winning chance if he delivers a fool proof display. DONNYOSKO (3) settled in a nice trailing position early, broke stride at the 1200m and lost approximately 20m before recovering for third at his debut. He has won a trial since and is worth an investment. REGAL GALA (5) broke stride when behind the leader and finished a distant third at his debut. He began fast when he won a trial prior so he is capable of giving a forward showing.

SELECTIONS: SEASIDE BOY (2), MY MARIONETTE (1), TAPPY (8), MY ULTIMATE LUIGI (4)

OVERVIEW: SEASIDE BOY (2) is resuming since a seventh in the Super Series Final back in November but he dashed home in a sizzling last quarter of 26.7 seconds to win a Terang trial last week so he is the horse to beat. MY MARIONETTE (1) is resuming since a third behind River Storm in the Homegrown Classic at Melton in December. She also won a trial last week and she drawn to receive every chance so she must be considered as one of the leading chances. TAPPY (8) worked hard on the outside of the leader throughout when fourth at Melton last outing. He finished off strongly when he scored at Kilmore prior and he should gain an economical trip from the trailing draw. MY ULTIMATE LUIGI (4) is a versatile pacer, which hasn’t had much luck recently and is capable of filling a place.

SELECTIONS: ACOOL INVESTMENT (9), MANDA KYVALLEY (8), WITH APLOMB (11), PROHIBITED GRACE (7)

OVERVIEW: ACOOL INVESTMENT (9) appears to be extremely well graded in this event with the aid of a concession claim and should prove hard to beat. She won easily at Kilmore three starts ago and her latest effort was behind the smart trotter Bennie And The Jets at Metropolitan level. MANDA KYVALLEY (8) is a strong mare, which pushed forward to race without cover and proved to be too strong at Echuca last outing. She is awkwardly drawn but is racing too well to dismiss. WITH APLOMB (11) has broken stride at her past three attempts but she is a smart mare when she is able to put it altogether. She was a big winner at Shepparton on January 06. PROHIBITED GRACE (7) has had a few chances since winning the Breeders Crown back in November 2024 but her latest third was encouraging.

OVERVIEW: PASTOR DUNBAR (9) remains undefeated from two starts and sustained a long run to score impressively at his first run since December. He is a smart colt and this race is no harder so he is clearly the horse to beat. JUST A JOURNEY (10) broke stride at the start and made up a lot of ground when a big fifth at Echuca last outing. She is lightly raced but has ability and is worth an investment. BEAU TRUSCOTT (7) led throughout and held off the challenge of Woman To Love (won since) at Kilmore last outing. He is not as well drawn for this assignment but he must be considered as a winning chance again. CHANTILLY LASS (8) has been placed in three of her past four starts and she endured a very wide trip at her latest tenth. She is awkwardly drawn but has the class to feature prominently.

OVERVIEW: COLTRANE (11) has been very impressive at his two starts since resuming and is capable of taking the next step forward. He produced a powerful finishing burst when he dashed home to score at Terang last outing. JAYS ALL THAT (9) pushed forward to find the lead and scored comfortably when resuming since a tenth in the Breeders Crown. He is a talented 3yo trotter and should have a prosperous campaign. IM EDDIE (3) led out then took cover when he battled on fairly well for second behind April Sun last outing. He is drawn to find a prominent position in the early stages and is worth thought again. DEEJAY DEX (6) is a fast beginner and battled on well for third in a quick mile rate of 1.57.6 last outing. He moves to the front line for the first time in seven attempts and gets his chance to run a big race.

OVERVIEW: SCAR (3) is a tough trotter, which worked hard to find the lead early and went down fighting when second behind Paris Kay at Cranbourne. This race is no harder and he is capable giving another bold showing. SETTLE THE BILL (9) has broken stride at the start and lost her chance at her past two attempts. She scored at Shepparton prior and she is versatile so she is worth another chance. GOLDEN SKIES (1) will appreciate her best draw for some time and scored after finding the lead at Ballarat four starts ago. She endured a tough run at her latest fourth and should be competitive under these conditions. TIPPLE TIME (10) has joined trainer Brent Lilley since her latest performance and she should a lot of promise during her juvenile season so she must be respected. KYVALLEY JENNY (7) lost her chance after making an early error last time but was runner up behind a handy type in Acool Investment prior so she is worth another chance.

OVERVIEW: BLACKINDEED (9) led throughout and recorded a career best mile rate of 1.54.1 when she scored at Ballarat then endured a tough run when unplaced at Metropolitan level. She appears to be better placed in this event and is worth an investment. CALEDONIAN RANGER (4) is a fast beginner and is a good chance of finding the lead shortly after the start. He led out then took cover when second behind the handy type in King Kasey last outing and is worth thought under these conditions. GOOD DAY (6) pushed forward to race without cover and battled on well for second last outing. He performs best when he is close to the lead and should run his usual honest race. SAVON DE ROCHE (11) has returned from a break in fantastic form with two victories followed by a handy finishing third behind Thunderfire at Swan Hill. She should be hitting the line strongly and is worth thought again.
