OVERVIEW: REPELLING (9) will appreciate a significant drop back in class for this assignment and should prove hard to beat. He followed placed efforts behind the smart pacers Petracca and Calexico with a sixth (9m) last week, where he missed away and wasn’t beaten by far at the end. CRIME WRITER (2) hasn’t been at his best form for some time but his last run was encouraging, where he settled midfield on the markers and worked through late for third. He is perfectly drawn over the sprint distance so he must be considered. DAY TWO (8) is awkwardly drawn on the inside of the second line but he produced a strong finish to score in a mile rate of 1.53.4 last week and he should be hitting the line hard again. IMA TERMINATOR (5) is a strong type and should run his usual honest race. TALLARAS SHADOW (6) is capable of sprinting to the line quickly with the right trail forward and ran a game second behind The Bride last week so she rates as a value chance.

OVERVIEW: TWISTING BY (7) possesses a powerful finishing burst and will take holding out in the run to the finish. He settled in a rearward position and did extremely well to finish as close as he did when fifth behind the smart pacer Golden Tribe at Melton last outing. He also finished off in sizzling final sectionals when third behind Heza Punk Rocker on October 25. GOLDEN SHOOZ (9) looms as the horse to beat. She is a talented filly, which has won seven of her nineteen starts and scored in a heat of the Victoria Oaks two starts ago. She got too far back from a poor draw in the Final of that series and appears to be much better placed against this line up. HEZASWEETIE (3) is a fast beginner and is a good chance of working to the lead shortly after the start. He led out then took cover when seventh last outing but he was placed at his two attempts prior and the drop back in distance will suit. BIG BOY MAL (2) is also a fast beginner and is drawn to receive every chance so he must be considered in multiple combinations.

OVERVIEW: WILD CARD (5) has been racing in good form and met stronger opposition when fourth behind Strapping Red in slick time at Cranbourne last outing. He won at his two attempts prior and he possesses early speed so he warrants respect. INDI PARTY MOOD (9) tried to sustain a long run and battled on well for fourth behind the smart pacer Tuivasa at Melton last outing. He was a strong winner at Shepparton three starts ago and he looms as one of the leading chances again. NETRA (8) performed well at the trials prior a handy finishing fifth at Ballarat when resuming. She follows out behind a fast beginner in KEAYANG SANTIAGO (1) so she rates as a value hope. KEAYANG SANTAGO (1) is rising in class on his latest performances but he possesses early speed and is drawn to be prominent throughout. ROCKIN BULL (6) and MACK PACK (7) produced tidy performances at their latest race track appearance and both are capable of figuring in the finish.

OVERVIEW: TICTOK (10) is a strong mare that is racing in good form against strong opposition. She was held up for a run at a vital stage and finished off well for third behind El Resamo in fast time at Maryborough last outing. RINGO WELLS (4) sustained a long run from last when a big winner at Melton then followed with a third behind Faith Full on Redwood Classic Day. He is a tough campaigner and should go well, particularly from his good draw. DOSSIER (2) has been placed at her past three attempts and is ready to break through for a win. She ran a game race when a close second behind Maximez at Maryborough last outing. ALDEBARAN BROOKE (7) and MEADOW VALLEY STAR (9) are both racing in good form against handy opposition and should be competitive again.

OVERVIEW: OLLIES THE BOSS (4) is a very strong colt, which should go well against this class. He worked out of the gate, took cover and tried hard for a close second behind Strapping Red at Melton last week. He is backing up quickly from contesting a heat of the Super Series last night. IM DUSTEE (6) hasn’t had any luck whatsoever at his most recent city class performances and went to the line jogging with no clear run when ninth behind Golden Tribe last week. He is a versatile pacer and is capable of showing up prominently with a little more luck in running. KITSUNE (8) is resuming since November 2024 but he will be fitter after a recent trial second at Echuca and he was in good form at the end of his last campaign so he must be kept safe. FUN TO LOVE (3) was runner up after trailing the leader last week and is drawn to be close to the speed again. He is worth thought along with the tough campaigner GUNFORHIRE (5).

OVERVIEW: ALRIGHTY (5) is resuming since a fifth behind Tracy The Jet in the Holmfield in August but he has performed well at the trials and is suited to competing over the sprint distance so he must be given a winning chance. RAPID RETURN (4) is also resuming but has performed well at the trials and is worth an investment. She finished second behind Gotfeelingsyouknow in a slick mile rate of 1.55.9 under similar conditions two starts ago. KYVALLEYHONEYBUNNY (6) has worked back into peak form and is not without a chance. She dropped out from a wide draw early and made ground late when third behind Keayang Brandy in the Matchmaker Mile on Sunday. LITTLE YANKEE (2) will appreciate a big drop back in class for this assignment and is drawn to run a good race.

OVERVIEW: OLLIVICI (3) gets his chance to return to winning form. He is a brilliant beginner and worked home well into a distant third behind the champion mare Keayang Zahara in very quick final sectionals at his latest third. KEAYANG STUKA (4) led out then took cover when second behind Jilliby Ballerini in the Maryborough Cup. He was placed behind Keayang Zahara in the Dullard Cup three starts ago so he looms as the logical danger to OLLIVICI (3). DICHOTOMY (5) is racing in good form and should run her usual honest race. She has been placed in three of her four starts since resuming from a spell and chased hard when second behind Pinnie last outing. HEZA GUN (6) has been freshened since a fourth at Melton on September 27, where he was badly away and was still going to win before breaking stride at the 100m mark. He has ability when he is able to put it altogether so he cannot be taken lightly.
EARLY SPEED: 3 (likely leader), 4
RATINGS: 3/ 4/ 5,6/ 1/ 2
OVERVIEW: WILD BULL (2) was driven aggressively to find the lead and rolled along at a genuine tempo when a runaway winner in a sizzling mile rate of 1.52.3 at Swan Hill last week. He is a good chance of finding the lead again and should take catching. HES NO ROMEO (3) is a brilliant beginner as evidenced by his fourth in the Swan Hill Cup at his Australian debut, where he led easily before taking cover. He should be fitter from that run, is likely to adopt the same tactics and the drop back in distance is a definite advantage so he must be respected. ROCKNALLOVERTHEWORLD (7) was resuming since December when he took cover behind the smart pacer Golden Tribe and battled on well for third last week. He should strip fitter and this race is easier so he must be included amongst the leading chances. MY LITTLE BO (11) ran a game race for fourth last week as she was caught wide early, eased back to last and ran home nicely at the finish to be beaten just over a length in a top mile rate of 1.52.4. She ran fifth in the Victoria Oaks prior so she has the class to test this field.
