SELECTIONS: HIGHVIEW HAMMER (5), OUR MYSTERY BET (2), FOREGONE CONCLUSION (3), TALISKER SKIPPER (4)
OVERVIEW: HIGHVIEW HAMMER (5) is a quick beginner and will look for the lead here over the short trip. His recent form has been very good and he was a winner here three back where he was able to get into a good forward position from the widest draw. With the right luck, his recent sectionals are better than most.
OUR MYSTERY BET (2) was a runner-up to the top pick two back over this trip where he worked on that occasion outside the speed. He’s a grinder who goes at the same speed late, so if they overcook things look for him late. FOREGONE CONCLUSION (3) won under these conditions last start, coming off the speed and proving too strong. He drops back to the mile here, so the map is important if he’s to repeat the result. TALISKER SKIPPER (4) finished runner-up in that race, and although he had every chance there, his form overall has been good so he’s in the mix.
