Changes at the top for Echuca after long era of service

Robert Height has stepped down as president of Echuca Harness Racing Club after a long era of service.

Mr Height dedicated a lot of his time and effort into the club, but felt it was time to hand over to someone new.

Shane Gloury has taken over the role and and brings extensive experience, new ideas and harness know-how.

The committee is looking forward to working with him to benefit the club and harness racing.

Echuca is gearing up for a big Easter Sunday Meeting on April 17, featuring the Caledonian Hotel Easter Cup.

The day will include great activities for the kids, including a huge Easter egg hunt and pop-up picture theatre as part of the on-course activities, which will complement a good line-up of races and horses for the night.

This is a traditional meeting for Echuca, and, because our area attracts visitors from all over for the Easter weekend, the club is planning to make it a must for the visitors and locals as well as the loyal harness population.
