Charlton, Shepparton meetings transferred

Changes to this week’s racing schedule have today been announced by Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) due to the current Victorian flood emergency.

Wednesday’s scheduled Charlton meeting has been transferred to Maryborough and Shepparton’s scheduled Thursday night meeting has been transferred to Bendigo.

Charlton and Shepparton communities are among those that have been told to evacuate.

HRV stewards are urging industry participants to monitor all key state service sites and plan ahead, with many roads throughout Victoria impacted by the floods.

Residents and participants should monitor the Vic Emergency website (https://emergency.vic.gov.au/respond/) for the latest information.

Charlton Harness Racing Club has experienced significant flooding, which is expected to affect the township for three to five days.

Participants can contact HRV stewards on 9214 0650 or the Integrity hotline on 9214 0651.

HRV urges all participants to take care and reminds of the Industry Assistance Program for those who would like to access counselling support services. Click here for more details.
