GoodForm Bon Report: Early odds look at HQ on Saturday night

Welcome to the very first edition of the GoodForm Bon Report, where each Thursday night shortly after markets have been opened at TAB.com.au I’ll be trying to point punters in the direction of the best early overs.

For the uninitiated, by early overs I mean best early value. These are horses I predict will start shorter, sometimes significantly shorter, than their opening price.

The column will be published here at thetrots.com.au, but if you want the heads-up, you can receive an instant notification via email as soon as this has been published by subscribing below.

OK, time for the value.

Off The Radar in Race 6 has opened $7.5 with TAB.com.au and I’ve marked him $3.2. This guy is a short-course specialist, whose current form matches or betters his two market rivals. Given I have marked him much shorter, the $7.5/$2.2 on offer looks great overs.

In coming weeks we’ll be looking to identify multiple value bets as soon as markets open on Thursday nights as we move out of regional racing, so expect more detailed reports.

Good luck and remember to check out my full GoodForm Game Plan on Saturday.

It was a day to remember for Aaron Dunn. Not only did he go back-to-back from last year to this year in the Matthews Petroleum Hamilton Pacing Cup, he also trained the quinella, with Forty Love taking the honours and last year’s winner Dee Roe finishing second, driven by Jackie Barker.

While the ink is far from dry on the $500,000 Summer Of Glory bonus cheque, superstar mare Keayang Zahara is on track to provide her connections with a windfall after her effortless win in the Group 1 $100,000 Aldebaran Park Maori Mile.
