Bronte Nieuwenburg has outlined her selections and suggested game plan for Warragul Cup Day.

R1 – 12.53pm – Rod Demmler Memorial Pace – 2210m

6 – Iamawingate

5 – Oceanique

3 – Captain Boak

2 – Lotakevi

Young reinsman Jordan Leedham is in hot form and takes the reins of Iamawingate here. I prefer Iamawingate when he's saved for one run late, and from the awkward barrier six, that looks the likely tactic. He can produce the fastest final quarter in this field, and with a touch of luck, he’ll be right in the finish.

BACK: 6 Iamawingate – 2 units (win)

R2 – 1.29pm – Warragul Harness Racing Club Life Members 2025 Maiden Pace – 1790m

5 – My Ultimate Luigi

1 – Ileana

6 – Normy

2 – Princess Arna

R3 – 2.03pm – Des & Moria Kelly Memorial Trot – 2210m

6 – Ringer Wells

8 – Strzelecki Sun

1 – Hes Themightyspin

5 – Exasperation

I’ve often been hesitant to tip Ringer Wells because of his manners. Early in his career, you really had to take him on trust. But with each start, he seems to be growing in confidence. There’s no doubt he has the ability to win this. He’ll just need to be on his best behaviour, especially with this being his first look at the track.

BACK: 6 Ringer Wells – 2 units (win)

R4 – 2.38pm – Eddie Evison Memorial Warragul Trotters Cup

8 – Pinnie

7 – Mitchell Wrap

4 – Destrier

5 – Johns Boy

Pinnie got it wrong for the first time in her career last start, but she’s the class runner in this field, as reflected by the 20-metre handicap. She’s already proven over this trip, having won a Victorian Trotters Derby heat last year, and also claimed a standing start victory as a two-year-old. I love the horse, and she finds a very suitable race here.

BACK: 8 Pinnie – 2 units (win)

R5 – 3.13pm – Ken Miller Memorial Pace – 1790m

1 – Ima Charma

8 – Ata Rangi

3 – Wild Bull

7 – Popcorn Friday

It’s hard to look past Ima Charma from barrier one over the short trip. He has the gate speed to lead and loves to be in front. He’ll be hard to run down, but Ata Rangi looks the main danger on his back.

BACK: 1 Ima Charma – 2 units (win)

R6 – 3.48pm – Downtowner Warragul Pacing Cup Final – 2210m

2 – Muselet

10 – Can Be A Ruebe

5 – Rockabilly Ringo

3 – Blackindeed

Muselet is the big winner from the barrier draw (#2) out of the main chances in this year’s Warragul Pacing Cup. He’s won four of his last five starts, and with that form and being up close to the front of the field, he’s the one to beat.

BACK: 2 Muselet – 2 units (win)

R7 – 4.23pm – Warragul Pacing Cup Consolation – 2210m

4 – Isolation

2 – Foregone Conclusion

7 – Im Wesley

10 – Delightful Charm

** A betting unit is typically a percentage of the total bankroll or the amount of money you are willing to risk on a particular bet – for example 1 unit is 10% of your bankroll, therefore with a $100 bankroll 1 unit equals $10.
