Goodform Gameplan: Cranbourne Saturday December 18

Race 1

Confidence:

There are multiple winning hopes in the opening event, but CHISSY (5) is the best value by far at $8.

SUGGESTED BET:

$15 Each Way CHISSY (5) at $8

Race 2

Confidence:

IM SHADOW BOXER (8) should win this on form, but he’s the type of horse you always want to take on at red-figure odds. Huge congrats to those that backed BELIEVE IN FOREVER (1) at $71. That price is well gone now but, for interest sake, it could be worth backing him and ZUBERI (4) on a 1 x 3 basis.

SUGGESTED BET:

$5 Win $15 Place BELIEVE IN FOREVER (1) at $10 or better & ZUBERI (4) at $12 or better.

Race 3

Confidence:

A big part of me wants to launch at former Kiwi filly IM OFF N GONE (5) but the money hasn’t arrived so I’m staying out.

SUGGESTED BET:

Nothing significant. (Confidence that IM OFF N GONE (5) will win)

Race 4

Confidence:

I’m leaning toward SHES A HOVERCRAFT (5) for those that just want one wager, but, in my opinion, this is an exotic contest waiting to happen.

SUGGESTED BET:

Flexi First Four: 4,5/ 4,5/ 7/ 1,2: $40 gets 1000%

Flexi First Four: 4,5/ 4,5/ 1,2/ 7: $20 gets 500%

Race 5

Confidence:

This already weird race has only gotten stranger with the two scratching, but one thing remains true. JEAN LUC (4) is going far better than his $7.50 quote would suggest.

SUGGESTED BET:

$25 Each Way JEAN LUC (4)

Race 6

Confidence:

When you see obvious overs early in the week, they rapidly rectify themselves. Not here. SUNDONS COURAGE (8) represent genuine quality and is flying again at present. The $14 is gone but he’s still $12 and I marked him $4.50. The other one worth specking for those that don’t mind backing two in one race is HATCHBACK (4) who should lead and trail in transit.

SUGGESTED BET:

$30 Each Way SUNDONS COURAGE (8) at $6.50 or better

Race 7

Confidence:

If you have the requisite funds at your disposal, then the best bet all night is AMAZING DREAM (3) the drum at $1.70. She simply cannot miss the podium in my opinion. We’ve missed the $7.50 a win about her but she’s still $6 and even at that price that 10-time G1-winner and likely leader seems great value EW.

SUGGESTED BET:

$20 Win $80 Place AMAZING DREAM (3) at $4.50 or better

Race 8

Confidence:

No great confidence in the last but, for interests sake, a little Bundle Bet on JOE NIEN (1) and ZOLIVER (8) seems a solid play to get out.

SUGGESTED BET:

$20 Bundle Bet JOE NIEN (1) & ZOLIVER (8) at $3 or better

Early Quaddie

I quite like this Early Quad, but I do suggest you play ALL THREE combos below if you plan to get involved.

2,5,6,8/ 8/ 5,8/ 4,5: $32 gets 200%

2,5,6,8/ 1,4,5,6,7/ 5,8/ 4,5: $80 gets 100%

2,5,6,8/ 8/ 2,4/ 4,5: $8 gets 50%

CONFIDENCE:

Quaddie

This is a Quad for thrill-seekers only. In basic terms, we need a big result in leg one or we’re swimming against the tide.

Field/ 6,8,9/ 3,6,7/ 1,4,5,8: $72 gets 25%

Field/ 4,7/ 3,6,7/ 1,4,5,8: $18 gets 9.18%

CONFIDENCE:
