Sometimes you need to look at races and accept you’re willing to support a given runner despite no great overs being offered. Such is the case with WOULD YOU MIND (9). Plainly put, he is going better than his rivals and even though the $2.30 available isn’t amazingly tempting it is good enough.

$40 Win WOULD YOU MIND (9) at $2.20 or better.

The theme from race one continues here with HELGART (8). The $2.20 we are now being offered doesn’t represent amazing value but she’s so likely to win that NOT backing her due to price is cutting your nose off to spite your face. We can have two bets in this event actually. Straight out HELGART (8) obviously but given the likelihood of peg-domination we can also play some Tricks.

Flexi Trifecta: 8/ 2/ 5,6,9,10,11: $20 gets 400% 

Flexi Trifecta: 8/ 5,6,9,10,11/ 2: $5 gets 100% 

Flexi Trifecta: 2/ 8/ 5,6,9,10,11: $5 gets 100%

Trying to single out the definitive winner in a race of this nature is a futile forlorn task so THIS is the type of race where we search for value. Of the six key winning chances the two at best value are TRAVEL BUG (6) and BRANDLO PRINCE (11) so we’re backing them both Each Way.

$10 Each Way TRAVEL BUG (6) at $8.50 or better 

$10 Each Way BRANDLO PRINCE at $8.50 or better

RUNAWAY CELEBRITY (2) is an abject moral here but in a single-file contest finding the placegetters can be somewhat confusing. That being said there does seem to be an appropriate way to play which is outlined below. 

SUGGESTED BET: 

Flexi Trifecta: 2/ 3,6/ 3,4,6: $40 gets 1000%

All the money has been for HIGHWAY TO HEAVEN (2) but I still think there are two equal top-chances in he and TORRID SAINT (4). One of the two will likely win and both should finish on the podium so we’re building exotics based around that concept.

Flexi Trifecta: 2,4/ 2,4/ 1,6,8: $24 gets 400% 

Flexi Trifecta: 2,4/ 1,6,8/ 2,4: $12 gets 200% 

Flexi Trifecta: 2,4/ 2,4/ 10,11: $6 gets 150%

We’re playing three-wide in Quads here so we’re somewhat protected should SAHARA SIROCCO (11) prevail but for single-race purposes we’re focussing our attentions on SANDAY (6) and PATSBEACHSTORM (10) but fiddling around with combinations should one of that trio not perform to their potential.

Flexi Trifecta: 6,10/ 6,10,11/ 1,3,4,5,6,8,10,11: $36 gets 600% 

Flexi Trifecta: 6,10/ 5/ 11: $4 gets 200%

KEAYANG LIVANA (9) is the one to beat in this magnificent Matriarch Trot but she is now too short for our support. The value runners at this point are SLEEPEE (8) and MONARO MARO (11) so we’re backing both Each Way for various amounts. 

SUGGESTED BETS:  

$15 Each Way SLEEPEE (8) at $6 or better 

$5 Each Way MONARO MARO (11) at $12 or better

SHADOW SAX (2) and MALCOLMS RHYTHM (4) both opened at much better prices than we’re getting about them now so hopefully punters played early as suggested on Twitter but even if they didn’t you can still get $2.10 via a Bundle Bet on the pair vs $2.20 for MAX DELIGHT (6) so the choice still seems relatively simple.

$40 Bundle Bet SHADOW SAX (2) & MALCOLMS RHYTHM (4) at $2 or better

ENHANCE YOUR CALM (6) should win this but he’s not an appealing price and it’s not an appealing race so I won’t be investing.

Nothing significant (Confident that Enhance Your Calm (6) will win)

There are a few ways of looking at this final event but at $2.40 HULI NIEN (9) can make us some decent coin without being forced into playing trickier but far more dangerous exotics.
