4 – Skadi
There was a lot to like about the performance of Roll On Apollo first up of a long break last time. Drew the back row and was driven for luck finding the line strongly. He has enough gate speed to put himself into a forward position and with the benefit of fitness will be tough to beat at great value.
BACK: 3 Roll On Apollo – 1 Unit (win) 3 Units (place)
R5 – 2:54pm – Ken & Maureen Ward Memorial Pace – 2150m
7 – Into The Harkness
9 – Ronzel Micky

10 – Foregone Conclusion
R6 – 3:29pm – St Arnaud Sporting Club Trotters Cup – 2520m
4 – Kyvalley Heist
12 – Travel Bug
5 – Wish Upona Dream
8 – Blue Coman
Kyvalley Heist is a horse who relishes the standing start conditions and can potentially find the lead here and barrel along in comfortable fractions. His run last start under similar conditions against much stronger opposition was very good. His manners will hold him in good stead and can lead all the way.
BACK: 4 Kyvalley Heist – 2 Unit (win)
R7 – 4:04pm – Hendy’s Tyre & Battery Pace – 1740m
2 – Village Voice
10 – Torque Power
8 – Soar

R8 – 4:44pm – Weir’s IGA Liqour St Arnaud Pacing Cup – 2150m
6 – Young Bluey
1 – Hugo Rocks
10 – Arggghhh
9 – Dhaulagiri
Young Bluey has been terrific his past two at headquarters, which is encouraging to put two good runs together as he’s always shown promise. He has gate speed to look for the lead and if he finds that spot, there doesn’t appear to be a lot of pressure.
BACK: 6 Young Bluey – 3 Units (win)
R9 – 5:24pm – Elders Pace – 1740m
4 – Bandit Eyes
9 – Cee Cee Lou
5 – Alfnalma
3 – Interpretation
I’ve been with Bandit Eyes a few times this preparation and whilst he hasn’t saluted the judge, he’s been ok or had a few excuses. I like the map for him here, as I think Interpretation can cross and then hand over the lead. If that map comes to fruition, he will be hard to run down.
BACK: 4 Bandit Eyes – 1 Unit (win)

** A betting unit is typically a percentage of the total bankroll or the amount of money you are willing to risk on a particular bet – for example 1 unit is 10% of your bankroll, therefore with a $100 bankroll 1 unit equals $10.
