Ryan Phelan has done the form for tonight's 8-race program from Shepparton.

R1 – 5:01pm – Hygain Pace - 1690m

12 – Rockaway Beach

8 – Changeover Girl

3 – Maas Betting Again

13 – Le Betty

Rockaway Beach has been in terrific touch recently, including a win three starts back. His past two efforts have both had merit - he was a close-up fourth in a sprint home and then did plenty of early work before making ground on a horse that's flying. The draw makes things tricky, but a genuine tempo would bring him right into play late.

BACK: 12 Rockaway Beach – 3 Units (win)

R2 – 5:30pm – Bicknell Signs Pace – 1690m

8 – Direct Command

10 – Evileye

11 – Dooo Dont Think

9 – Soho Playgirl

Direct Command looked set to feature in the finish here last week before striking trouble in a stronger grade. His prior form reads well, and he finds a suitable class drop with the aid of Sean O’Sullivan’s claim. Will need a slice of luck from the run, but if he sees daylight, he'll be charging home. More a place chance than a win proposition at value.

BACK: 8 Direct Command – .5 Unit (win) 1.5 Units (place)

R3 – 5:57pm – Neatline Homes Pace – 1690m

11 – Sir Sonny Maguire

4 – Olivia Rose

2 – Interpretation

1 – Hez Harrywho

R4 – 6:25pm – Central Tyre Service Trot – 2190m

8 – Sky Lindy

5 – Kota Bharu

3 – Betsy Anne

4 – Im In Style

Sky Lindy was worth a throw at the stumps first-up in a tougher race last week and never got into it off a slow tempo. She faces another awkward draw on the back row but drops in grade, steps up in trip, and strips fitter. Worth another look at odds.

BACK: 8 Sky Lindy – .5 Unit (win) 1.5 Unit (place)

R5 – 7:00pm – Grenada Park Standardbreds Pace – 2190m

9 – Look Like Diamonds

3 – The Statesman

4 – Mongiana

1 – Good Tobe Locksley

Look Like Diamonds is a classy mare who competed strongly in elite 3YO company last season and has resumed in fine order. All three runs at Melton this prep were excellent, and she was brave when working hard in Group 3 company at Menangle last time. She's well placed against this field and looks a major player.

BACK: 9 Look Like Diamonds – 3 Units (win)

5 – Jilliby Illusion

12 – Miki Sing

** A betting unit is typically a percentage of the total bankroll or the amount of money you are willing to risk on a particular bet – for example 1 unit is 10% of your bankroll, therefore with a $100 bankroll 1 unit equals $10.
