Ryan Phelan's found some nice tips for a short - and hopefully sweet - program from Shepparton.
R1 – 5:48m – Welcome J&A Mazzetti Painting New SHRC Sponsor Pace - 1690m
5 – Direct Command
3 – Highview Hammer
12 – Byrneside Boom
8 – Inside Leg
Direct Command is a genuine campaigner who does his best work when able to find the top and roll along. He showed gate speed last week but was forced to race without cover and stuck on bravely for second. If the early map plays in his favour, he’ll be very hard to run down.
BACK: 5 Direct Command – 2 Units (win)
R2 – 6:15pm – Pacing For Pink Sunday May 4th Pace – 1690m
10 – Katunga Express
6 – Lochiel Lad
4 – Big Sledge Hammer
11 – Arnies Army
Katunga Express resumes after four months off but showed excellent consistency last prep in fast-run races. He’s tuned up with a trial win leading into this, and with good speed predicted up front, the race shape could suit perfectly. Expect him to be charging home late.
BACK: 10 Katunga Express – 1 Unit (win)
R3 – 6:45pm – Wednesday Wager SHRC Facebook Trot – 1690m
3 – Miss Ohana
9 – Night Sky
2 – Kimberleys Tree
6 – Im In Style
Miss Ohana was well supported last time in tougher Melton company but did too much work and faded - an uncharacteristic run. Trusting the stable to turn that around, especially considering her strong prior form. She won a quality Melton race as a 2YO from the front, and if she reproduces that, she’ll be hard to beat.
BACK: 3 Miss Ohana – 1.5 Units (win)
R4 – 7:21pm – Neatline Homes 4yo & Older Pace – 1690m
1 – Whitehaven Beach
3 – Rowdy Christian
4 – Cee Cee Lou
6 – Eagle Major
Whitehaven Beach was scratched last week but impressed on debut for Alex Ashwood, unleashing a powerful, sustained run to score over Keayang Moscasto, who has since franked the form. With natural improvement, he looks well placed to go back-to-back.
BACK: 1 Whitehaven Beach – 1.5 Units (win)
R5 – 7:55pm – Hygain Pace – 2190m
3 – Telern Lofty
4 – Villarock
8 – Owen The Saints
5 – Magnetic Storm
Telern Lofty is in terrific form this prep and deserved his recent win after enduring tough draws. That victory came from the front, and this race sets up in similar fashion -perhaps even easier. With the experienced David Miles in the sulky, he looks a strong winning hope again.
BACK: 3 Telern Lofty – 4 Units (win)
R6 – 8:29pm – Jeff Gledhill Gardening Trot – 2190m
6 – Settle The Bill
8 – Van Doren
3 – Kalarney Prince
1 – Montana Muscle

** A betting unit is typically a percentage of the total bankroll or the amount of money you are willing to risk on a particular bet – for example 1 unit is 10% of your bankroll, therefore with a $100 bankroll 1 unit equals $10.
