GOODFORM – TOC’s tips and game plan for Friday at Beckley Park

Tim O’Connor has done the form for the Friday night meeting at Geelong.

R1 – 6.02pm – HOYTS FOOD PACE – 1609m

11 – Rockaway Beach

10 – Foresight

9 – Caledonian Ranger

5 – Pappa Leo

Rockaway Beach has a difficult wide back row draw to contend with, but he’s in some good form and can produce a big finale at his best. He rocketed home from a mile back at Kilmore last time to finish second to Foresight, and just at the price I’ll lean his way over the aforementioned rival.

BACK: 11 Rockaway Beach – 0.5 unit (each-way)

R2 – 6.30pm – HARAS DES TROTTEURS TROT – 1609m

1 – Sassy Galleon

9 – Emmwallen

3 – Silent Reverie

7 – Rarity Rock

R3 – 7.04pm – VALE KEVIN SHELLY PACE – 1609m

9 – Speedy Healey

2 – Sir Nippa

8 – Eye See Amour

1 – Star Ruler

Speedy Healey’s last couple of runs have been full of merit, including a win over this race’s favourite Sir Nippa last time at Ballarat where he came from a mile back to score. I think Speedy Healey might get Sir Nippa’s back again here and he can sprint too fast in the home straight.

BACK: 9 Speedy Healey – 1 unit (win)

R4 – 7.39pm – GEELONG BATHROOM RENOVATIONS MAIDEN PACE – 1609m

5 – Luvtobeuptome

3 – Segui Le Stella

8 – Lougle

6 – Denver Colorado

Luvtobeuptome looks close to a moral in a weak maiden pace and I’ll combine him with Soho Darknstormy, who should lead and win race seven.

BACK: R4 #5 and R7 #1 – 3 units (win multi)

R5 – 8.14pm – RSN ROOFING PACE – 1609m

1 – Pickle It

2 – Micton Mouse

8 – Gozo Major

3 – Hair Razor

R6 – 8.49pm – EVOLUTION LODGE MAIDEN TROT – 1609m

4 – Met With A Shrug

1 – Aldebaran Axl

3 – Tipple Time

5 – Kyvalley Joker

Concede Aldebaran Axl looks very hard to hold out from the draw, but Met With A Shrug easily beat him home in a recent clash here at Geelong when she endured clearly a tougher run. Just at the price, I’ll side with the 4 on the each-way.

BACK: 4 Met With A Shrug – 1 unit (win)/2 units (place)

R7 – 9.24pm – APCO WE’VE GOT YOU PACE – 1609m

1 – Soho Darknstormy

4 – Tara Victory

8 – Dance Away

7 – Hittheroadjack

Luvtobeuptome looks close to a moral in a weak maiden pace and I’ll combine him with Soho Darknstormy, who should lead and win race seven.

BACK: R4 #5 and R7 #1 – 3 units (win multi)

R8 – 9.59pm – YABBY DAM RACING WORLD CLASS TROTTERS TROT – 1609m

5 – Right Of Reply

6 – Steady Dream

8 – Spirited Lass

2 – Scar

R9 – 10.27pm – CORIO PIZZA PACE – 1609m

4 – Ollies Medal

1 – Im The Wild One

8 – Lady In Line

3 – Capitalism

I loved Ollies Medal’s first-up win at Cranbourne when he pulled hard and surged through the inside to score in a fast last half. His last effort was also good when only beaten by Amphijet at Bendigo and this doesn’t appear a strong race.

BACK: 4 Ollies Medal – 2 units (win)

QUADDIE

1, 2, 8

4, 1, 3

1

5, 6, 8, 2

** A betting unit is typically a percentage of the total bankroll or the amount of money you are willing to risk on a particular bet – for example 1 unit is 10% of your bankroll, therefore with a $100 bankroll 1 unit equals $10.
