Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) has programmed 16 maiden races for four-year-old plus horses (11 pacing and five trotting events) during January in response to feedback from participants.
“Our trainers expressed a desire to run their maiden horses against like-for-like opposition and we responded accordingly by doubling the number of maidens programmed,” HRV General Manager of Racing Stephen Bell said.
“We’ve listened to the participants, so hopefully these races are duly populated with nominations.”
