Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) has revealed the starters (pre-barrier draw) for the $500,000 Group 1 Del-Re National A.G. Hunter Cup.
The barrier draw for Saturday night’s Grand Circuit classic will be conducted at the VHRC Night of Nights gala event tonight at Crown Palladium from 9pm.
The draw will be broadcast live on Sky Racing 2 and streamed live to HRV’s Facebook page.
New South Wales trainer Belinda McCarthy has three runners in this year’s Hunter Cup field, with Blacks A Fake, Miracle Mile and reigning Hunter Cup champion King Of Swing her stable’s headline act.
McCarthy will also put the polish on Schweppes Sprint winner Alta Orlando and gun Kiwi Star Galleria.
Emma Stewart will line up Hamilton and Charlton Cup winner Fourbigmen, and recent Sokyola Sprint winner Somewhere Secret.
Reigning Victoria Cup, Shepparton Cup, Vicbred Super Series, Chariots of Fire and last-start Ballarat Cup champion Lochinvar Art will likely start hot favourite for the Hunter Cup for David Moran.
Bettor Be The Bomb takes winning form into the big race for trainer Basil Dooley, courtesy of his win in last night’s Casey Classic.
