ID18 update: Tritton tells RSN Alpha leads

Shane Tritton emerged from the eye of a storm to weigh in on arguably the biggest night one TAB Inter Dominion battle.

The trainer of My Alpha Rock laid his cards on the table when he joined RSN’s Racing Pulse to speak with host Michael Felgate and Good Form analysts Jason Bonnington and Blake Redden, declaring an intent to hold the lead despite likely pressure from series favourite Tiger Tara and Wrappers Delight.

“At the end of the day we do want to lead,” Tritton said. “If this was run at Menangle and Tiger Tara drew outside us we wouldn’t hand up to him there, so there’s certainly no reason we would hand up to him around Melton.

“I know Wrappers Delight likes to lead too, but when you draw good in these Inters, you might draw bad in a couple of weeks, so he’s got to take his advantage when he can.”
