Trots lifers Mick Gadsden and Denbeigh Wade will live their dreams on Saturday night when King Denny steps out in the TAB Inter Dominion first night of heats.
The emerging trotter has transformed country cup victories into a golden ticket for the couple, who decided to “have a crack” and buy the trotter, then “whack him in” the ID18 nominations “in the hope his form might turn around”.
Only a matter of months later trainer Gadsden and reinswoman Wade are rapt they have “got a shot”.
