Gavin Lang’s latest stable star may just be a three-year-old trotting daughter of Orlando Vici named Adelle.
The former New Zealand trotter has made an instant impact since joining Lang’s Bacchus Marsh stable, winning her two starts to date with the champion horseman.
Adelle defeated Jilliby Bulldog first-up at Ballarat before backing it up nine days later with victory at Bendigo in a $7,000 event.
Tomorrow night at Ballarat Adelle returns to standing start conditions, where she was none for two in New Zealand, but as a likely short-priced favourite punters are expected to be putting their faith in Lang improving the filly’s manners.
Lang will also drive five-year-old Pirate Bay, who resumes from a spell after back-to-back wins in February, and a two-year-old first-starter by Art Major out of Lombo Cloud Nine in Race 5.
Blake Redden caught up with Lang on the Inside Word podcast.
