Pause put on Pacing for Pink to ensure great strides

Victorian trots are set to take huge strides in the fight against breast cancer, but the Pacing for Pink campaign will be delayed to ensure maximum exposure.

A stunning 78 pairs of pink drivers’ pants have been ordered as part of the awareness and fundraising campaign for the McGrath Foundation, having for the first time been thrown open to all drivers.

With a cavalcade of sponsors coming on board to support the occasion, organisers have postponed the commemoration, which was to see drivers wear the pink pants throughout May, with the headline Foundation fundraising day planned for May 24 at Shepparton.

“With the changes to region-based racing and because we want to have all of Victorian drivers involved, we have decided to hold off until we return to racing as normal,” reinswoman Donna Castles said.

“We want to make sure that we raise as much awareness and money for the Foundation, and to also make sure that those who supported the drivers get their due thanks.”
