The stage is set for the fun-filled thrills of Victoria’s greatest three-night trots carnival as race goers ready to storm the Sunraysia.
True Mildura Style racing returns for another super Cups Week from Tuesday April 19, which will be the launching pad for a great week’s celebrations and racing.
The good times will roll on to Thursday night’s Industry Party and Friday night’s trotters cup before the track’s bright lights ignite one more time for the 2022 Mildura Pacing Cup.
The carnival will be celebrated with extended coverage on TrotsVision, including daily broadcasts of SEN Track’s TrotsLife, to make sure sport lovers never miss a moment.
Here’s what’s coming up:
The voice of the Mildura trots Luke Humphreys will return for his second calling of the cup and be joined by panellists Nikkita Ross, Jason Bonnington and Tim O’Connor for wall-to-wall coverage on TrotsVision.com.au.
In addition to celebrating the stars of the track the track and digging deep to find winners, the coverage will take viewers into the heart of the action with Bonnington to roam the course to get the latest from participants.
The fun kicks off on Tuesday April 19, with coverage of night one of the carnival to follow the streaming of episode six of The HRV HERO Show, which will include a celebration of life after racing in Mildura.
All three race nights will also be able to enjoyed with extensive coverage on Sky Racing 1.
The TrotsLife team will again broadcast from Mildura Harness Racing Club, with the SEN Track shows to also be streamed live on TrotsVision.com.au.
Jason Bonnington and Nikkita Ross will kick the week off on Tuesday from 11am-1pm with a look towards night one of the carnival, before Toby McKinnon moves into the host chair.
He’ll be joined on Wednesday by Luke Humphries and on Thursday by Tim O’Connor before Bonnington and Ross return for the Friday Form Panel, which airs from 10.30am-noon.
SEN Track will also have a special broadcast of every night of the carnival, with Toby McKinnon to stream in from trackside.
HRV’s Tim O’Connor will join RSN 927 live from the track with the Mildura Mail, dialling in ahead of each race across the three nights with insights and market movers before the gates are released.
The station will also carry audio from the TrotsVision coverage across its digital channel, including sharing the first words from the winning drivers.
RSN Central’s Gareth Hall will be tuned into the carnival throughout the week, which will be the headliner when he’s joined on Thursday by Dan Mielicki for Green Light On.
INDUSTRY PARTY
Amid the great racing there’ll be plenty of time to let your hair down, not least of all at Harness Racing Victoria’s Industry Party on Thursday, April 21.
Held at The Setts Mildura from 6-10pm, the party is a chance for participants, owners, breeders, trots fans and travellers to come together ahead of the two big Cup nights.
Live crosses will stream from the party to TrotsVision’s coverage of the April 21 card at Tabcorp Park Melton, with Jason Bonnington and Nikkita Ross to give a special pre-Cup report from The Setts Mildura.
