I suspected HARD ROCK SHANNON (7) would come up a price here and while he will need a few things to fall his way, he is one of the better each-way bets on the card.

I thought BENJI HALL (9) was the horse to beat here but there’s not much juice in the market. MISS TIPSY (13) isn’t the worst roughie if you’re that way inclined.

There’s some market discrepancies compared to my prices here but it’s just not a race I’m overly keen to get involved in.

With the key scratching it’s hard to argue with the way this market shapes up. That said, with a debutante and some unknown factors, there’s no punting option which stands out here.

Confidence:
This is a cracking race but I’ve got plenty of time for SHADOW CHEVRON (5) and based on the fact I think he can bring his A-game here, he’s a solid betting option.
SUGGESTED BET: $20 Win on Shadow Chevron (5) at $3 or better.

Confidence:
GEE SMITH (5) must be the horse to beat here after his last start win, BABYITSCOLD (9) and DAYLIGHT AT DAWN (4) are the clear dangers for Quaddie punters.

Confidence:
SLEEPEE (1) draws to be hardest to beat but may be a touch short in early markets. I’d expect the price to correct somewhat but if you’re keen to jag a roughie, NEEDABACARDI (9) looks well suited at bigger odds.
SUGGESTED BET: $5 Win x $20 Place on Needabacardi (9) at $14/$3 or better.
Race 8
Confidence:
CHEEKI PHILTRA (7) is flying at the minute but a lot will depend on what happens into the first bend. Of the others TASMA FLASH (9) and MISTER JOE MAJOR (11) might be the threats.
