Interesting race where my top tip LOST FOUR WORDS (1) should land no worse than leaders back. They may have just went too slow last time so given ARGY BARGY (5) is shorter in early markets, I’m happy to build a strong case that the pole marker can replicate that result and go one better which makes the early price a more than fair one. It’s also worth noting PAYUP ORLEAVE (10) may be better than his rivals but until he does it in race day, he’s hard to launch into.
SUGGESTED BET: $20 win on Lost Four Words (1) @ $5.00 or better
Race 2
Confidence:
This wasn’t the easiest race to sort through, MIDNIGHT WHISPER (6) has done enough at the trials behind Reactor Now to be in this on debut but JETS ART (11) was an eye-catcher on debut and HANOVER STARZZZ (3) draws to lead which makes it hard to have a confident bet.
SUGGESTED BET: $10 win on Midnight Whisper (6) @ $6 or better
Race 3
Confidence:
CRACKER JET (9) is a progressive trotter and should be a little too good but in a standing start race it is hard to get super enthused about taking odds on. The market has sorted out the key trifecta chances so there does not appear to be a heap of value in multiples.
SUGGESTED BET: Nothing significant, Cracker Jet (9) an obvious anchor in Early Quaddies
Race 4
Confidence:
I was fairly confident one of either ROYAL ADMIRAL (9) or SASSYFEET (10) would win this race. Both are likely to go around at an each-way quote and while it’s not a race we should necessarily be teeing off on, ROYAL ADMIRAL (9) is worth a bet.
SUGGESTED BET: $10 win on Royal Admiral (9) @ $5 or better and a $5 Quinella with Sassyfeet (10)
Race 5
Confidence:
Clearly the two horses drawn outside the back row are the hardest to beat, I leant slightly to BREXITT (11) despite the fact David Moran sticks with the early favourite SANTA CASA BEACH (10), RENWAY REACTOR (2) is the next best but one of the top two should win.

Race 6
Confidence:
WAYONBYE (6) was sound first-up and terrific behind Sirletic last time so while he’s not an over the line job, he looks a clear top pick and a more than fair price around the $2.50 mark. Outside of the top pick it’s hard to argue with the rest of the market but MISS FANDANGO (4) might be best of the roughies for trifectas and first fours.
SUGGESTED BET: $30 win on Wayonbye (6) @ $2.50 or better
Race 7
Confidence:
REACTOR NOW (9) opened $1.80 and was swiftly backed into $1.50 here and more than understandably so. He is in the zone right now and he should be too classy for his rivals here. Even now he is a touch of overs so there is no juice in any of the others. If you are playing saver Quaddies then Axinite (8) is the only other realistic winning hope (and a minor one at that).
SUGGESTED BET: $10 Trifecta 9/8/3,4,6,7 gets 250%
Race 8
Confidence:
HESTY (3) was by no means spectacular first-up but he gets into the right race here and should be improved. I marked him just better than even money but just into the odds on feels about the right price here. Of the others, AMERICAN SWEETHEART (8) is a cheeky place chance with luck.
SUGGESTED BET: $10 place on AMERICAN SWEETHEART (8) a place @ $3 or better
Early Quaddie
We aren’t going overboard with the Early Quaddie but if we can get a split early then it will hopefully be smooth sailing on the way home.

I’m not keen to split the top two in the first leg but we will play a saver with the third pick. Wayonbye is a good anchor option in the second leg but again consider savers. Reactor Now should simply win the third leg so we won’t play any wider there and the last leg Hesty is one out in the main quaddie but there is the option for a couple of saver runners.
