Superstar pacer Ride High never raced as a two-year-old, but that will be a different story for his little half sister who steps out for her racetrack debut at Kilmore’s metropolitan meeting this Saturday night.

The well-named High Profile adds some real intrigue late in the card, with the daughter of All The Magic to race in the MC Security 2YO Pace for trainer Emma Stewart.

Owner-breeder Peter Gleeson said there had been good wraps on the Always B Miki filly, who ran second in a trial at Maryborough on July 11.

“All I know is that Clayton (Tonkin) has always liked her right from day one. He thinks she’s a good horse,” Gleeson said.

“She’ll be winning races. Whether she will win on Saturday night or not, only time will tell.

“She’s her own style, she’s nothing like Ride High as a build. She’s a good-natured filly, never had any trouble with her all the way along the line.

“I’ve got four two-year-old fillies by Always B Miki and they all go good. This will be the first one to race.”

All The Magic is also the mother of top stablemate Always Fast - who returned to winning ways at last weekend’s Geelong meeting - and two-time Group 1 winner Rocknroll Magic.

Saturday night’s meeting at Kilmore will honour many special people involved with the club, with feature races including the Bob Cain Memorial/VHRMA Pace, Leli and Mary Mifsud Winter Trotters Cup (first heat), Roger Reeves Memorial Winter Trotters Cup (second heat), Vin Knight Memorial Pace, Bob Knight Memorial Pace, Don Logie Memorial 3YO Pace and Ken 'Snowy' Chapman Memorial Pace.

Kilmore Racing Club general manager Ben Murphy said video interviews with family members of those that have passed away had been created for distribution across various media channels, including Trots Vision.

“It’s important for the club that we remember those who came before us and helped make the club what it is today,” he said.

“We are trying to give back a little bit to remember their stories and the contributions their families have made.”

Kilmore’s bumper 12-race card is headlined by the $30,000 Jet Roofing Winter Championship Final and $24,000 Popular Alm Sprint, with the opening event to kick off at 5pm.

It’s another big week of racing in Victoria, and it can all be watched live and free via Trots Vision at thetrots.com.au.
