After another week scouring the Victorian trials circuit the Craig Rail Trial File Blackbook has two new additions and the master caller and form analyst is primed to build followers' Bankrolls.

SHEPPARTON 28/05/20

Trial 1: - CARLA CLARE was driven hard out of the gate but was able to get across and find the lead shortly after the start. She set up a good tempo and was able to hold out some classy pacers to get the prize. SAN CARLO was three horses wide early, restrained to last then came out wide again at the 1100m before finally getting up without cover from the bell. He kicked on to be beaten narrowly and he wasn’t fully extended in the run to the judge. SOFALA raced without cover in the early stages and gained the one out and one back trail behind SAN CARLO at the bell. He came to the outside in the straight and missed out narrowly. ALLMIGHTYJOELOUIS finished fourth after trailing the leader throughout and COLDPLAY ROAD was in fifth position after gaining a nice trail throughout (1-1, 1-2 at bell). LETSROCKLETSROLL finished last after being three back on the markers for the entire journey.

Trial 2: - BUNDLE OF NOTES (Roll With Joe – Hope Riley 1.56.7, $23,460) began very quickly to find the lead and was in control of the trial throughout. He went to the line comfortably and beat his five rival trotters by three metres. LORD LOHKI trailed the leader and moved away from the markers at the 600m mark. He boxed on for second in front of CMON CARL LEE, which raced roughly at the start, settled fifth on the markers and pulled hard throughout. He moved away from the markers at the 600m mark (1-2) then came out four horses wide on the home turn and made up good ground in the home straight. PATCHWORK was four back on the fence, gained a one out and one back trail then came out three horses wide on the home turn. She finished fourth in front of HIGHLAND HILL and MYNAMESGRAHAM, both of which made errors, HIGHLAND HILL with 150m remaining and MYNAMESGRAHAM at the start.

Trial 3: - DEL PORT was without cover early then put the pressure on the early leader APHRODISIAC before sliding to the top at the 1400m. He set up a slow tempo thereafter and was able to hold off his rivals to win with something in reserve. SEASONG came from five back on the markers when he finished on well in the final 500m to finish second with APHRODISIAC in third after ending up behind the leader. JUSTCALLMEAZA was three back on the markers from the 1400m and wasn’t fully extended in the final stages finishing fourth in front of CONCORDE DAWN (4 back markers, 1-1 300m and 3 wide turn) and IVE GOT THE LOOKS (Union Guy – El Maggie 2.4.4, $6,800) was last after racing very greenly and missing the start by approximately 20m.

Trial 4: - THE LAST CHANCE settled 3 back on the markers and moved into the one out and one back trail at the 300m. He finished off strongly and won comfortably from HOLSTEIN, which trailed the leader and came away from the markers in front of THE LAST CHANCE leaving the back straight. IAMTHEFIRECRACKER broke stride at the start and missed approximately 30m early, tacked onto the group at the 1400m and finished off strongly for an eye-catching third. INTEREST ME settled five back on the markers and came away from the inside at the quarter pole but he never peeled off the back of the horse in front at any stage and went to the line jogging in fourth position. HESTY began quickly to lead but disappointed in the straight, finishing fifth in front of DIDN’T I, which dropped out from four back on the markers.

Trial 5: - ITSARAPT stepped away nicely and pressed forward to find the lead. He set up a slow tempo and won easily with plenty left in reserve. LIKE A SUNBEAM trailed the leader and raced roughly from the 300m mark but held down second in front of DANCES, which settled last of the five runners and came out three horses wide on the home turn. SWEET ON YOU (Love You – Right Interest 1.59.7, $202,096) was three back on the pegs and moved away from the inside at the 300m, finishing fourth in front of CLAUDYSLILSIS (4 back markers).

TERANG 30/05/20

Trial 1: - ALDEBARAN ROCKY hasn’t raced since November and is a maiden from sixteen starts but he has always shown a bit of ability and he won the opening trial easily. PENELOPE was stood down to trial after galloping at Stawell and she finished second in front of DOUBLE HELIX and MAORI AMOUR. SURELY NOT (Skyvalley – Paula Swifty 2.4.7, $28,030) was the only horse in the trial that hadn’t raced previously and finished last of the five runners.

Trial 2: - SEEKING THOUGHTS dashed to an easy win at Stawell on May 10 then galloped at his next attempt. He dashed home in a quick final half to defeat KEAYANG SILVAGNI (Roll With Joe – Keayang Princess 2.0.7, $35,378), which is closely related to the handily performed Keayang Da Vinci. JILLIBY SCOOBY DOO hasn’t raced since July and finished in third ahead of CLOUD BREAK, a former New Zealander, which has recently joined trainer Margaret Lee. LYDIA LOVEDAY (Art Major – Shy Star 2.3.6, $4,676) finished fifth with STELLAR RAINBOW (Roll With Joe – Starry Rainbow 1.58.2, $84,205) being last of the six runners.

Trial 3: - CELTIC CASH hasn’t raced since January and joins trainer Paddy Lee after formerly being prepared by Anton Golino. She won the third trial by a large margin over SIERRA KEA (Peak – Diamond Insitu) with KAYLASISTER finishing a distance away in third. TOUCHANDGO (Down Under Muscles – Honeylyptus) was fourth and SHEZ A DOOD, which has made errors in all of her four starts to date, finished last of the five runners.

Trial 4: - JILLIBY DINGO (Rock N Roll Heaven – Slip Slop Slap 2.2.0, $4,500) has been trialling well at Terang and secured his second trial victory when he dashed home in reasonable final sectionals to defeat VIKING CRUZ. KEAYANG KOOKAI was a large distance away in third position and finished in front of SHOWEM SHIFTY and FIRE OFFICIAL.

Trial 5: - KEAYANG SHADY hasn’t raced since a victory at St Arnaud in November and was able to defeat VETNESS by three metres. GOODTIME GRACE is a handy mare that boasts a consistent record. She hasn’t started since January and finished third in the trial ahead of THE BIG SHOW.

Trial 6: - KEAYANG ALEX (Roll With Joe – Missing Letters 1.53.7, $123,410) is out of a fast mare in Missing Letters and dashed home in good time to easily win his trial over the juvenile pacers JILLIBY FERNANDO (Captaintreacherous – Metromint 1.54.7, $28,333) and OCTOBER REIGN (Sportswriter – Show Me Amber 1.58.7, $64,151). SHADY CREDIT (Shadyshark Hanover – Total Credits) finished in fourth position in front of LEICA MINNIE (Grinfromeartoear – Leica Houdini).

MARYBOROUGH 31/05/20

Trial 1: - I AM MARQUEZ was allowed to balance up at the start and settled in third position in the early stages. He came away from the inside at the 1200m and found the lead at the bell. He skipped well clear before the home turn and was able to score comfortably. FIFTYSHADESOFHAY trailed the leader early and ended up being three back on the markers. By the time she came to the outside, I AM MARQUEZ had established a big lead but she finished off strongly for an eye-catching second. SHARKBITE ALTO (Shadyshark Hanover – Sugar Alto) settled last of the four runners and finished ahead of IT’S A BORG, which led out then took a trail mid-race.

Trial 2: - CANADIAN ALM trailed the leader and moved away from the markers at the 600m when he got up to win over IGNITING STRIDE (Peak – Rosemaryz Luck), which raced greenly in the final stages and broke stride momentarily on the home turn. He lifted again in the straight and kicked on well over the final stages. ANOTHER COMET (Great Success – Brite N Lucky 2.3.2, $35,700) broke at the start and lost approximately 40m in the early stages. He wasn’t beaten by far at the end but the mile rate was a very slow 2.12.2.

Trial 3: - BENEATH THE SHADOW (Shadow Play – Clearwater Isle) trailed the leader and moved into the death seat at the 700m. He was able to dash home in a handy final half to win over LOOKIN FRESH (Mr Feelgood – Payton Mackenzie 2.3.3, $11,431), which settled third and gained the one out and one back trail behind BENEATH THE SHADOW. BELLADONNA GIRL began quickly to lead and was run down over the final stages. MORE THAN A WOMAN settled four back on the markers and finished fourth position. ABITOFDELIGHT (Bitobliss – Karim Vale 2.1.4, $4,463) was fifth throughout and LOVEN LAUGHTER broke at the start and was tailed off for the entire journey.

BENDIGO 01/06/20

Trial 1: - MISS BROOMFIELD (Muscle Mass – Miss Impromtu 2.6.0, $27,838) led out then took a trail before moving away from the inside on the home turn when she scored narrowly. MEADOWVALLEY LOVER started approximately 10m behind the field when the tapes released, pushed forward to find the lead and was run down late but she went to the line under a hard hold. ROGUE GENTLEMAN (Majestic Son – Yankeeiron $13,674) settled three back on the markers and finished third in front of TENLILFONZIES (Fling It – Idoido 2.1.3, $60,713), which settled last of the four runners and broke stride at the 900m.

Trial 2: - ASHINCHARGE was a pacer taking on two trotters and got the prize after trailing the leader and coming away from the markers at the 400m. SPIDERS DEVIL jumped to the front and tried to lead throughout. He held on well in a reasonable last half. TRUMPIT LIL was slow out and settled last of the three runners. She remained in last position throughout the entire trial.

Trial 3: - FORM ANALYST showed gate speed and trailed the leader before moving into the death seat at the 700m. He was very strong at the finish and won impressively. COURAGEOUS SAINT settled three back on the inside, moved into the one out and one back trail before getting in behind the leader. He moved out three horses wide on the home turn and tried hard in the straight for second. MANASSA SKY settled three back on the inside and was able to drive through along the sprint lane to finish third. ROCKNROLL EYES settled in fourth position, moved into the death seat at the bell and worked to the front at the 800m then dropped back to fourth late. GOTTA GO YA HU began quickly to lead but was beaten from the half mile marker and dropped out to finish at the tail of the field.

Trial 4: - ROCKS ARNT PETS settled in fourth position and moved into the death seat at the 700m. He recorded fast time and won nicely. PEYTON PRINCESS settled three back on the inside and moved into the one out and one back trail. She followed the winner in the final stages and tried hard in the straight. WARRADERRY trailed the leader and was held up for a run at a vital stage before using the sprint lane and finishing third. ADELAIDE BAY did everything right but he set up a hectic tempo in the lead and tired over the latter stages. He finished fourth in front of IMAGE OF COURAGE, which raced three back on the markers throughout.

Trial 5: - SHEER MODERN began quickly to lead, took a trail and zipped to the front as soon as she peeled away from the markers at the quarter pole when she shot away for an easy victory. OHOKA MAXIMUS ended up being three back on the markers, moved away from the inside at the 250m and finished second. ELEGANT JEWEL settled last of the five runners and worked into the third position. SCHOUTEN ISLAND settled fourth on the markers and had no clear run in the latter stages. DANMAN raced without cover early, pushed forward to find the lead at the 1800m and dropped out to finish last of the five runners.

Trial 6: - HEZA BRAXTON settled four back on the markers, gained the one out and one back trail and came out three horses wide on the turn. He raced roughly on the final corner but was able to rally in the straight. NUCLEAR NIKKY began quickly to lead but pulled hard in the run and was gunned down in the latter stages. SUTTER STAR settled third on the markers and moved into the death seat at the 800m. He finished third with BABYLON BAMBI running in last after pulling hard early before getting in behind the leader at the 1200m.

Trial 7: - MULBERRY PIE began quickly and was able to retain the lead from the pole position. She enjoyed a nice run in the front running role and held off her rivals to score. DOUBLE DOT settled three back on the markers and was able to run into second placing with HIGHWAY HUNTSMAN in third after trailing the leader and moving to the outside with 500m remaining. PRINCESS FAITH was four back on the markers, moved into the one out and one back trail behind HIGHWAY HUNTSMAN and broke stride under pressure in the home straight. She finished fourth ahead of FLICK IT, which was three back on the markers throughout.

Trial 8: - SAINT WIN (Art Major – Torridon 2.1.2, $39,325) showed gate speed and got onto the markers to trail the leader in the early stages before dropping back to being the third one following on the markers mid-race. He moved up without cover from the 600m mark and was able to get away in the straight to win well. OZZIE SUNSHINE began quickly to lead then took a trail and finished in second position ahead of OUR LITTLE GODDESS (Art Major – Localize), which progressed forward from the death seat to find the lead at the 1200m mark. ANNETTE MAREE (Betterthancheddar – Key Attraction 2.3.6, $14,805) was last on the markers before finding the one out and one back trail behind SAINT WIN and finished fourth ahead of CASINO BARRY (Heston Blue Chip – Casino Princess 1.59.7, $31,715), which broke stride from four back on the markers with 500m remaining.

Trial 9: - MAJOR NORTIE began quickly to lead, took a trail and sprinted quickly once he moved away from the markers with 250m remaining. He dashed clear in the latter stages and recorded handy time in winning. ANIMADO (Sunshine Beach – Dilinger Girl 1.57.9, $153,084) settled in fourth position and came out three horses wide on the home turn. He finished on well for second in front of TAY TAY (Rock N Roll Heaven – Jets Girl 2.2.1, $3,580), which set up a reasonable speed in the lead. She wanted to hang in and race roughly from the 500m mark. SPEAK TO LUCKY (Artspeak – Frances Lombo) was four back on the markers, moved around ANIMADO mid-race to be three back on the inside then used the sprint lane over the latter stages. He raced roughly in the home straight. MAURIES BONUS (Pet Rock – Perfect Bonus 1.58.9, $58,440) was last of the five runners throughout.

Trial 10: - IRENE ROSE (Tennotrump – Box Brownie) broke stride in the score up and lost approximately 20m. She was able to tack onto the back of the leader ALDEBARAN TAKARA (Trixton – Aldebaran Turnpike 1.59.6, $20,625) pretty quickly however and came to the outside at the 300m mark. She loomed alongside ALDEBARAN TAKARA in the home straight and had her job made much easier when ALDEBARAN TAKARA broke stride with 150m remaining.

TABCORP PARK, MELTON 02/06/20

Trial 1: - SHE SAILZ (Used To Me – Elle Galleon $11,277) was without cover in the early stages but took advantage of ROHAAN (Orlando Vici – Class of her Own 2.0.7, $45,025) galloping on the first corner and took the lead. She set up a slow tempo and had a good kick left at the finish. ROHAAN led early then galloped 100m after the start and lost approximately 25m. He settled down in third position and worked home nicely for second. RIGHT OF REPLY (Majestic Son – Alta Rihannah 1.59.1, $154,437) did a very good job to maintain his composure early when two horses galloped in front of him and was able to get through to trail the leader. He moved away from the inside at the 500m but wanted to hang out before breaking stride on the home turn. He got going again late and was picking up some ground in the final 50m. JAHBELLA (Angus Hall – Noopy Dua 2.0.6, $66,349) trailed the leader and broke stride on the first corner. She lost approximately 50m and was last of the four runners for the remainder of the trip.

Trial 2: - MONARO MARO was able to find the lead in the early stages before taking a trail behind OVERANDOUT at the 1500m mark. She came to the outside at the quarter pole and sprinted brilliantly to hit the front and draw away over the concluding stages. She was entitled to win being a National Ratings 75 assessed trotter against easier opposition but she did score decisively. OVERANDOUT finished second after being in fourth position early then progressing forward to find the lead at the 1500m. He raced very greenly and had a good look at the winning post coming up to the bell but he didn’t roll right off the track like he did at his memorable Melton victory a few weeks earlier. He was quickly overtaken by MONARO MARO at the quarter pole but he beat the remainder of the field by a big margin. ROI DU SOLEIL broke stride momentarily at the start and lost approximately 25m before settling four back on the inside. He finished in third position ahead of FLING IT RAINBOW, which ended up being three back on the markers from the 1500m and BACARDI CHARDY was last after breaking stride on the first bend and losing approximately 60m before galloping again in the latter stages.

Trial 3: - ROYAL HART (Lincoln Royal – Miss Sweethart) showed good gate speed to lead, set up a slow tempo and proved too strong in the run to the finish. ROCK N ROLL DOO (Rock N Roll Heaven – Long Live Lana) was fourth on the markers for the majority of the trial, moved up without cover with 350m remaining and went to the line hard held in second position. SEASIDE SISTER (Sunshine Beach – Indigo Smile 1.59.1, $28,550) trailed the leader throughout and wasn’t overly exerted in the latter stages of the event. YAMBUKIAN (Bettors Delight – Coppagoodone 1.57.0, $13,423) settled down last of the five runners before moving in the one out and one back trail behind ROCK N ROLL DOO. He finished off well in the latter stages to finish a close up fourth. DREAMS ARE BETTOR (Artspeak – Delightfullybettor 1.56.9, $34,684) finished last of the five runners after being three back on the markers throughout.

Trial 4: - ZIGZAGZOO settled last on the markers before moving away from the inside with 700m remaining. He came out wider on the home turn and was able to produce a big finish to win easily. HALLOFASUDDEN trailed the leader throughout and moved away from the markers on the home turn. She was able to pick up second but was no match for the winner in the straight. MEGEVE (The Best Madrik – The Kahmotion) was three back on the markers, moved into the breeze at the quarter pole but wasn’t making much of an impression and switched back to the inside before the turn and used the sprint lane in the straight. She finished third in front of MAJESTIC JEWEL, which set the speed with ROLL WITH ROSCO (Roll With Joe – Petousa 1.57.3, $180,217) (4 back markers) seeing the field safely home.

Mile Rate: - 2.8.9            Final Half: - 59.51    Margins: - 6m, ½ neck

Trial 5: - TRIPLE ZED (Four Starzzz Shark – Spirit of Smooch) was caught wide early but was able to progress forward to find the lead at the 1700m mark. He was then able to back off the tempo and sprinted away from his rivals to win comfortably at the end. PUNT FOR PLEASURE was a good effort in second position. He settled four back on the inside, gained a one out and one back trail at the 500m mark before coming out wide on the home turn and finishing off strongly. BRONSKI MOMENT was able to lead early before taking a trail and ended up being three back on the markers. He moved into the death seat with 500m remaining and finished in third position. CALLHENIEN (American Ideal – Fulsome 1.56.3, $43,622) gained a one out and one back trail before switching onto the markers in third position with 700m remaining. He finished fourth in front of SAFE UNDER FIRE (Courage Under Fire – Talk Safely 1.58.1, $20,103), which was without cover until dropping in behind the leader in the back straight on the final occasion. CINQUE AMICI raced three back on the markers and finished sixth ahead of A ROCKNROLL WALTZ (A Rocknroll Dance – Our Waltzing Mathilda 1.57.7, $12,131), which found the lead, took cover behind TRIPLE ZED, but tired as the field entered the back straight on the final occasion.

Trial 6: - CASH LOVER came out of the gate quickly and took cover behind MAJESTIC DREAM. That pair were able to dominate the trial thereafter with CASH LOVER running down MAJESTIC DREAM right on the line. HALLABOUTME was three back on the markers throughout and finished in a distant third ahead of FOX FORCE FIVE, which settled in fifth, came out three horses wide on the home turn and finished off strongly at the end. ORLANDO JOLT was fourth on the markers throughout and followed the field around without being fully extended. HES THE MIGHTYSPIN broke stride at the start and lost approximately 30m in the early stages. He moved up without cover from the 900m mark but couldn’t sustain the run. YANKEE VELVET settled down in sixth position, broke stride with 450m remaining and failed to finish.

Mile Rate: - 2.4.7            Final Half: - 60.53    Margins: - ½ head, 12m

Trial 7: - ROCKINGWITHSIERRA began very quickly to find the lead, rolled along at an even tempo and shot well clear before the home turn. She was never in any danger of defeat and won easily. GEE SMITH settled down five back on the markers and moved into the death seat with 600m remaining. He was edging forward and by the time the field reached the home turn, ROCKINGWITHSIERRA was off and gone with the prize. ROCKTAGONAL settled sixth on the markers and moved into the one out and one back trail behind GEE SMITH. He came out three horses wide on the home turn and finished off fairly well. SOHO NOTORIOUS came from last of the seven competitors and was the widest runner on the home turn, finishing off nicely for fourth. MOONLITE DRIVE was fifth after settling four back on the inside and beat home DISTINCTIVE MISS (Rock N Roll Heaven – Mystery Moment) (3 back markers) and MASLIN BEACH (Sunshine Beach – Bridget Franco 2.3.9, $13,865) (trailed the leader).

BLACKBOOKER: - Rockingwithsierra

Trial 8: - IT’S BACK IN THE DAY was extremely impressive. He settled last of the four runners, came to the outside with 550m and zoomed to the lead at the quarter pole. He ran away from a good field and recorded fast final sectionals. RISHI appeared to have his chance after trying to lead all of the way and SMART LITTLE SHARD finished third after being three back on the markers and using the sprint lane in the straight. FIRE UP FRANCO trailed the leader and moved away from the markers at the 500m but couldn’t sprint with his rivals late. He was the most loosely assessed horse in the field (National Ratings 74, the winner has a NR of 100) so he was taking on tough opposition.

Trial 9: - BANKROLL (Artistic Fella – Banking On You) settled fifth on the markers, moved into the one out and one back trail at the bell and was able to win the trial with plenty in reserve. The time was moderate but he did show the ability to be able to win a race in the near future. ANDREW SWAGGER was taken off the gate and settled in fourth position following the markers. He moved up without cover at the bell and boxed on for second. AZTERIAN (Sportswriter – Neishars Jet 2.1.9, $12,861) is a 2yo pacer and was taking on the older horses. He settled three back on the inside and ran a nice race for third. ATEGO SHADES began quickly to lead early before taking cover. He finished in fourth position ahead of ROSE COOPER, which worked to the lead at the 1800m mark. BILLYNJED (Major Bronski – Essmarelda Lombo) settled last of the eight runners and was able to get past VALLEY OF TERROR (6 back markers, 1-2 at bell) and ROCKATOCKA (Auckland Reactor – Rocka Hula 2.1.3, $15,104) (7 back markers, 1-3 at bell).

Trial 10: - THE HERVEY BAY raced without cover and was able slot onto the back of the leader FRIENDS at the mile marker. He came away from the inside on the home turn and got up to defeat FRIENDS in the run to the finish. LENARD ESS trailed the leader early and ended up being three back on the markers when THE HERVEY BAY was able to find the pegs in the back straight on the first occasion. He got through to trail FRIENDS in the home straight and never peeled off the back of that pacer at any stage so he could have finished a lot closer. MACH HU was four back on the inside before moving into the one out and one back trail at the bell. CHRISSY DIVINYL was restrained at the start and was last of the five runners before moving up without cover from the 1400m. She endured the toughest run in the trial and dropped out to last over the latter stages.

Trial 11: - ARABELLA STAR settled last off the four runners, moved away from the inside at the quarter pole and was able to jog home to get the prize comfortably. THE WHOLE PACKAGE began quickly to lead, set up an even tempo and finished second with DIAMOND GRACE coming from three back on the markers to finish third. BEAT THE DRUMS trailed the leader and was the last one to cross the line.

Trial 1: - SLEEPEE began quickly to find the lead before taking a trail behind WILANKA (Zooma – Yvonn 2.4.6, $32,400) at the mile marker. She came away from the inside with 150m remaining and coasted to victory, scoring with plenty in reserve. WILANKA finished second and BUSLIN BRODY (Red Samurai – Spinster Clare 2.2.3, $33,245) was last of the three runners throughout.

Trial 2: - ANDRES began well and was the joint leader early but couldn’t get across to the markers and eased back shortly after the start. He gained a position on the markers in third at the 1800m before moving into the one out and one back trail with short of 600m remaining. He came out three horses wide on the home turn and finished off briskly to get the prize. REGAL BREEZE (Sir Lincoln (Lincoln Royal) – Safari Breeze 1.55.4, $176,150) trailed the leader and moved away from the inside with 600m remaining. She finished second in front of the early pacemaker FIVE STAR SHARK (Four Starzzz Shark – Forest Charm 2.3.3, $9,900), which raced greenly and hung out on the final corner with PEPPERBERRY being last of the four runners. She gained a nice run through along the inside from last to trail the leader on the home turn and ducked back into the sprint lane in the latter stages.

Trial 3: - COMANDANTE dashed to the lead in the early stages and ran along at a rapid rate. He established a big lead mid-race and was never going to be beaten. He was tiring noticeably in the final 100m but he still scored by 30m. MAORI MAYHEM (Pegasus Spur – Happy Maori 1.59.6, $89,365) was in second position throughout and was always nicely clear of the last trio. KYVALLEY SURFRIDER was inconvenienced by the galloping MAJOR MAX (Majestic Son – Nicky Newky 2.7.0, $18,305) at the start and lost fifteen metres. He settled down in fourth position and moved away from the inside in the back straight on the final occasion. He finished a distant third ahead of the juvenile trotters KYVALLEY HACIENDA (Andover Hall – Kyvalley Lily) (3rd on the markers) and MAJOR MAX, which was always a distance away after galloping and losing approximately 50m at the start.

Trial 4: - HEZA BRAXTON was left without cover in the early stages, progressed forward and found the lead at the 1400m before holding off his rivals to win narrowly. CELESTIA trailed the leader early before ending up being three back on the markers. She only gained a clear passage with 150m remaining and finished very quickly to run an eye-catching second. TYABB WONDER led out then took a trail before using the sprint lane. He wasn’t extended over the latter stages and finished third. RUESLAN (Courage Under Fire – Marfusha) was shuffled back to last mid-race and moved into the death seat at the bell. She battled on fairly well for fourth ahead of MONTY MAJOR (Art Major – Court Safely), which was in the one out and back trail before easing onto the markers to be in fourth position at the 1400m mark. NOTTADOUBT (We Will See – Joelles Dream 1.59.9, $19,253), which was in fifth position before moving into the one out and one back trail at the bell, started to feel the pressure with 600m remaining and came in at the tail of the field.

Trial 5: - REPEAT AFTER ME defeated KING SOLOMON in a trial of only two horses. REPEAT AFTER ME led throughout and appeared to be a class above KING SOLOMON on the day.

Trial 6: - FLASH KYVALLEY trailed the leader and used the sprint lane but he did accelerate very nicely over the concluding stages to snare victory on the line. KYVALLEY CLICHY settled fourth on the markers, gained a one out and one back trail at the 600m and came out three horses wide on the home turn. He was just nosed out by FLASH KYVALLEY on the line. PETITE LOVE began quickly to find the lead, set up a slow tempo and kicked on reasonably well in the straight. SHADOW JUSTICE was third on the markers and moved into the death seat with 600m remaining but ended up finishing last of the four runners.

Trial 7: - IM JOE LOUIS began quickly to lead, set up a moderate tempo and was just able to hold on in the run to the finish. KIWI KALAHARI settled three back on the markers, moved into the death seat at the 500m mark and chased after the winner, going down narrowly on the line. POWER PASS settled in fourth position, followed KIWI KALAHARI forward and took some driving but started to find top gear in the latter stages. He finished third in front of ASHINCHARGE, which trailed the leader and used the sprint lane. GIGIS GRINNER broke stride in the score up, missed the start by approximately 15m and settled five back on the markers. He was last on the markers throughout.

Trial 8: - GOOBER settled down behind the leader, started to trot roughly from the 700m mark but held his composure and was able to make his move approaching the home turn. It took him the length of the home straight but he got the job done right on the line. SONNYBOY (Majestic Son – Sullanders Pride) produced another good trial performance in second position after racing keenly in the lead and fighting on well. ROCKFORD PEACH settled four back on the markers and was able to work into third position. GATESY GIFT settled three back on the markers and worked through to trail the leader on the home turn. He broke stride when switching back into the sprint lane and he appeared to be travelling well at the time. ALDEBARAN LOVISA (Readly Express SWE – Excellent Boko SWE $21,133) finished last of the five runners after jumping to the lead and galloping 100m after the start, losing approximately 50m.

Trial 9: - KYVALLEY BARNEY stepped away reasonably well and ran around the first corner out very wide on the track. He progressed forward to find the lead at the mile marker then was able to hang on at the finish. KYVALLEY FINN settled down last of the three runners and was giving KYVALLEY BARNEY a hefty start coming up to the home turn. He ducked through along the inside and finished off stylishly at the end. MADENA BAY led out then took a trail but being a National Ratings 58 assessed trotter, he couldn’t go with the Country Cup class performers over the latter stages.
