Emma Stewart's four-year-old mare stepped out at Bacchus Marsh on September 26 and "scored comfortably" accordinng to Craig Rail.

More below, including seven new additions to Rail's Trial File Blackbook.

Scoll to the bottom for the updated Blackbook.

BACCHUS MARSH 26/09/20

Mile Rate: - 1.58.5          Final Half: - 56.1               Margins: - 3m, 2m

Trial 3: - ELANDCEE YOUANDME hasn’t raced since March 2019 but she was able to pull off a trial victory over the National Ratings 59 pacer JEMSTONE GLORY. He backed up with an unplaced performance at Terang on Wednesday.

Mile Rate: - 2.7.8            Final Half: - 59.9               Margins: - 1m, 4m

Trial 4: - ILLAWONG MOONBEAM is a classy juvenile pacer, which has been placed in five of her seven starts for the season and is being set for the Home Grown Classic series commencing on Monday at Maryborough. She was successful over the three unraced trotters VELVETNLACE (Modern Art – Eskimo Jaack), ALDEBARAN GWEN (Skyvalley – Aspenglow USA) and THE SARGENT (Skyvalley – Redneck) in a slowly run trial.

Mile Rate: - 2.9.0            Final Half: - 63.2               Margins: - 5m, 2m

Trial 5: - BEACH MUSIC (Somebeachsomewhere – Musical Delight 1.53.1, $248,910) is a nicely bred juvenile for trainer Emma Stewart, which makes her debut at Ballarat tonight and defeated SAYITAINTSO JOE and ROCK N ROLL DOO, which have both shown ability at the races, being last start winners. SAYITAINTSO JOE finished second in preparation for his heat of the Home Grown Classic at Ballarat tonight and his stable mate ROCK N ROLL DOO was six metres away in third. IDEAL JO (American Ideal – Magic Z Tam USA $83,819) finished fourth ahead of another unraced pacer in DESIRE TO LIVE (Pet Rock USA – Our Burning Desire NZ 1.55.9, $81,250)

Trial 6: - ILLAWONG STARDUST is a brilliant 3yo filly and is racing in the Starlet Trot against a top field at Cranbourne on Sunday. She shaped up nicely for that run with a runaway trial win in handy time. OFORTUNA hasn’t started since April but she has won at three of her five racetrack appearances and finished second, well ahead of HAMMERS PEGASUS and the locally trained ARU AND ME.

Mile Rate: - 2.4.0            Final Half: - 58.9               Margins: - 25m, 30m

Trial 7: - MACHANICAL was stood down to trial after hanging out badly and locking wheels at his latest attempt. He re-qualified by beating the open class trotter SAMMY SHOWDOWN with VILLAGE VOICE finishing in third position. LOUNGE ART was a distant fourth ahead of BILLYNJED.

Mile Rate: - 2.2.8            Final Half: - 58.5               Margins: - 3m, Head

Trial 8: - MAAJIDA has won ten of her fourteen starts and hasn’t raced since a fourth in the Allied Express 3yo Classic at Melton in March. She is the defending Breeders Crown Champion and was placed in the NSW Oaks two starts back so she is a quality filly. She dashed home in a slick final half of 56.7 seconds to defeat another classy filly in IOLANTA with TWO TIMES BETTOR being in third position. ALWAYS FAST was fourth and narrowly beat WATCH LIST to the post.

Mile Rate: - 2.1.1            Final Half: - 56.7               Margins: - 3m, 3m

ARARAT 26/09/20

Trial 1: - SANUR BEACH hasn’t raced since an eighth in the Group 3 Golden Nursery Pace Final at Globe Derby in May. He has won two of his four starts to date and was able to take out the opening event ahead of the 3yo trotter DUBLIN CHUBB, which was stood down to trial after galloping at his first run since April. The unraced qualifiers SPEEDIE EADIE (Auckland Reactor – Grandma Gertie) and INLUIOFPRIZE (Sweet Lou – Prized 1.57.5, $17,503) finished third and fourth respectively.

Mile Rate: - 2.3.1            Final Half: - 60.7               Margins: - 3m, 5m

Trial 2: - GHANASUYA was a winner at Maryborough in August and is building up a handy record. He raced to an easy victory in reasonable time over SPORTY AZZ, which hasn’t raced since an unplaced run in the George Croxford Tribute in February. DEMONSTRATOR joins trainer Peter Manning and finished third at his first public performance since coming to grief in a race back in 2018. He finished ahead of DOWLING and PRINCE OF PIRATES.

Mile Rate: - 2.1.2            Final Half: - 62.9               Margins: - 20m, 5m

Trial 3: - GOTTAHAVEAHOBBIE finished fifth at his most recent race track performance at Horsham and completed a double for trainer Wayne Ferguson at the trials by defeating UNDERPLAY and KEAYANG BAZOOKA. ALLIES MATE, which has only had the one run since November, finished last of the four runners.

Mile Rate: - 2.2.3            Final Half: - 59.1               Margins: - 6m, 2m

Trial 4: - IM JIMMIES GIRL (Shadow Play – Priddy Good 2.0.1, $5,125) is a Michael Bellman trained filly, which defeated FROM THE WEST and the Queenslander DEFENSIVE GUY. DEFENSIVE GUY is a juvenile, which has been placed in seven of his ten runs to date, including two Albion Park victories and is obviously being prepared for the Home Grown Classic series starting on Monday and the 2020 Redwood Carnival. PARIS SUZIE (Great Success – Forgetfulljane) was last of the four runners to cross the line.

Mile Rate: - 2.8.8            Final Half: - 62.0               Margins: - 1m, 15m

MILDURA 27/09/20

Trial 1: - CALL ME DOTTIE was stood down to trial after galloping at her latest attempt and was able to do everything right and land the prize. She pushed forward early to race without cover and proved too strong in the run home. WROXTONS FAREWELL (Shadow Play – Party Time Girl) was fourth on the markers, pulled hard and came out three horses wide on the home turn so she put in a tidy display for second. SYSTAMATIC was a close up third after setting the speed and finished in front of MAXWELL JOHN (Village Jolt – Queen of the World 1.58.9, $18,200), which settled down in third, moved into the one out and one back trail at the 700m but broke stride shortly afterwards. AUCKLAND LASS (Auckland Reactor – Danamite Lass 1.55.9, $60,348) broke at the start and was tailed off early before being retired out of the trial.

Mile Rate: - 2.2.3            Final Half: - 63.0               Margins: - 1m, 1.5m

Trial 2: - TERRA ROSSA is a former Ashleigh Herbertson trained mare, which has recently joined trainer Reece Moore. She speared to the lead, ran along at a genuine tempo and held off the challenge of the THE VERGINIAN (behind leader) in the run to the post. Both horses are backing up at Mildura this afternoon and if they can replicate the mile rate of 1.58.3 from the trial performance, they will be competitive. SASSYS A TERROR did a lot wrong in the trial but still managed to hold down third. She was hanging badly in the score up, dropped to be fourth on the markers but was still travelling awkwardly and moved into the death seat at the 1300m. She never ran in a straight course at any stage so she did a good job to finish as close as she did. ROCKING WROXTON was slow away and settled fifth on the inside. He finished fourth in front of EEZEE STREET (Live Or Die – Washingtons Legacy 2.6.7, $7,970), which was three back on the markers but raced very greenly in the last lap.

Mile Rate: - 1.58.3          Final Half: - 60.0               Margins: - 1.5m, 20m

Trial 3: - PENNY SNATCHER showed her natural gate speed to zip across and find the lead shortly after the start. She ran along at a genuine tempo and kicked clear at the quarter pole but was starting to get weary late and just held on at the end. VICSTAR SHARAZZZ showed gate speed and took the trail behind PENNY SNATCHER. He dropped off by approximately three lengths before the home turn but rallied and chased hard in the straight. He missed out narrowly and it was a good performance in leading up to his first up effort this afternoon. OH MY GOODNESS was three back on the markers throughout and dropped off the back of the leading pair in the final 400m.

Mile Rate: - 1.58.8          Final Half: - 59.5               Margins: - Head, 35m

BLACKBOOKER: - Vicstar Sharazzz

BENDIGO 27/09/20

Trial 1: - ZADAKA is a National Ratings 82 assessed pacer and was taking on two trotters so he had a bit of class on his rivals. He was badly away from the standing start and lost approximately 40m before he tacked on at the 1400m. He then moved around his two rivals to find the top with 1100m remaining. As expected, he was able to prove too strong at the finish. MANO DE DIOS led out then took a trail and finished second. He was trotting very roughly in the final 500m but maintained his composure and finished second. HIGHLAND HILL was last of the three runners throughout.

Mile Rate: - 2.8.4            Final Half: - 60.0               Margins: - 13m, 7m

Trial 2: - MEADOWVALLEY LOVER had a few gait issues at the start of the season but she has been really impressive at her past two trial performances. She led throughout and drew clear to win, seemingly with plenty in reserve. MISS BROOMFIELD trailed the leader and pulled hard throughout the middle stages. She lost ground on MEADOWVALLEY LOVER over the final stages but the time was handy. JETS TO JAZZ was last of the three runners throughout and dropped away over the final stages.

Mile Rate: - 2.3.4            Final Half: - 58.8               Margins: - 15m, 60m

BLACKBOOKER: - Meadowvalley Lover

Trial 3: - POWDERKEG began quickly to find the lead and was always in control. He dashed clear at the end to win by a large margin. EVERYBODYLOVESME is still learning but is showing potential and considering she is a National Ratings 51 assessed trotter, she performed nicely, particularly in holding off the challenge of RIGONDEAUX (3 back markers) in the latter stages. WILL PATRICK began fairly and was close up early but galloped on the first turn, losing approximately 40m and was never a chance after that point.

Mile Rate: - 1.59.0          Final Half: - 58.1               Margins: - 20m, 2m

Trial 4: - TWISTED BLISS produced a slashing run at her first start for the new stable at Shepparton and backed it up with a stylish trial victory where she led out, took a trail and came to the outside on the home turn. She extended very nicely over the final stages. HEAVENLY BELLE was able to press forward and find the front. She backed off the speed mid-race and tried to sprint home in a quick final half but found the winner to be too good on the day. ZANZIBAR EXPRESS was fifth on the markers early before moving up without cover from the 700m mark and finished in third position. VALKYRIE was three back on the markers and finished fourth in front of VARIEGATED (4 back markers), which broke stride on the final corner.

Mile Rate: - 2.1.2            Final Half: - 57.3               Margins: - 4m, 10m

BLACKBOOKER: - Twisted Bliss

Trial 5: - ATTENTION SEEKING (Somewheresomewhere – Secret Bonus 2.4.1, $4,225) was three back on the inside, moved into the breeze at the 500m mark and finished off solidly to win in slick time. BELLADONNA GIRL set up the hectic speed and was run down in the latter stages but she beat the remainder of the field by a large margin. BIG BLUE (Modern Art – Rosetta Lombo) was four back on the markers and finished in third position ahead of FARAGLIONI, which trailed the leader. MARY KATHLEEN (Auckland Reactor – Art Bubble) was last on the markers but was struggling to keep up a long way from home and was retired from the trial.

Mile Rate: - 1.57.9          Final Half: - 58.5               Margins: - 3m, 65m

Trial 6: - CRESCO GOLDIGGER settled three back on the markers and was able to sprint home too well over the concluding stages. LIFEINQUESTION (Betterthancheddar – Lifeinthecountry $3,250) was three back on the markers, moved away from the inside with 400m remaining and ran home well at the finish. She was giving the leaders a big start when she worked into the clear so it was a tidy display. TOTALLY SHATTERED trailed the leader, moved away from the inside at the 600m and hit the front at the quarter pole but peaked on his run late. ARCHER NORMAN (Auckland Reactor – Wenona Maggie 1.58.9, $23,856) settled last on the markers and picked up the early leader THREE SHADOWS and also ROSE COOPER, which broke stride at the 1100m then again at the 600m.

Mile Rate: - 2.0.3            Final Half: - 58.4               Margins: - 9m, 1m

Trial 7: - SEASONG was an impressive winner of the final trial. She was three back on the markers and moved into the one out and one back trail at the quarter pole. She was the widest runner in the straight and finished off swiftly to record a narrow but decisive victory. BLAZIN CRACKER began quickly and trailed the leader, moved away from the markers on the home turn and tried hard in the straight. ACE DUIGAN finished third after trying to lead throughout and ULTIMATE WON settled down last, moved up without cover at the 900m and peaked in the latter stages.

Mile Rate: - 1.59.5          Final Half: - 56.4               Margins: - Neck, 1m

BLACKBOOKER: - Seasong

MARYBOROUGH 28/09/20

Trial 1: - I AM MARQUEZ settled down last of the four runners, moved into the one out and one back trail at the quarter pole and finished over the top of his rivals to win narrowly. FINAL PEACE trailed the leader PERSPECTIVE, came to the outside with 500m remaining and hit the front on the turn. She went down fighting in the straight. PERSPECTIVE had his chance after leading and the open class trotting mare MARGARET RUTH ran last after settling three back on the markers but wasn’t beaten by far and the time was fast so her effort was sound.

Mile Rate: - 1.58.5          Final Half: - 57.7               Margins: - Nose, 10m

Trial 2: - BRUISED EGO began quickly to lead and was untroubled in scoring by a comfortable margin. AUSSIEPRIDE settled down in last position, left the markers at the 500m and chased hard for second with TOUCH OF ARMBRO (3 back markers) being in third position throughout. THE NOTORIOUS trailed the leader and finished fourth with SURBITON CHARDONNAY (4 back markers) being last of the five runners to greet the judge.

Mile Rate: - 2.3.5            Final Half: - 59.5               Margins: - 12m, 12m

Trial 3: - JILLIBY DINGO showed gate speed to lead, took a trail and came to the outside on the home turn. He was able to poke his nose in front right on the line. LOST FOUR WORDS should have won the trial and considering she is a National Ratings 48 assessed runner, is worth following. She settled last of the three, moved through to trail the leader on the turn, didn’t opt for the sprint lane and got held up, angling around carts and flashing home late to be beaten narrowly. It was an eye-catching performance. MAJOR BANKS pushed forward to lead at the 1800m mark, set up a slow speed and had his chance in third albeit only a head behind the winner.

Mile Rate: - 2.5.9            Final Half: - 59.4               Margins: - Nose, Head

BLACKBOOKER: - Lost Four Words

Trial 4: - SOUNDSOFCASH was a very impressive winner. He settled three back on the markers, gained a one out and one back trail at the 600m, came to the outside on the home turn and was able to glide home in fast final sectionals to win drawing away. TRIPLE ZED trailed the leader, moved away from the markers at the 600m and tried hard for second with the early leader VAN GOGH being in third position. SURBITON HARTBREAK settled four back on the inside and was the last one to greet the judge.

Mile Rate: - 2.1.6            Final half: - 56.6               Margins: - 6m, 4m

BLACKBOOKER: - Soundsofcash

Trial 5: - LAY THE SMACKDOWN trailed the leader, came to the outside with 600m remaining and was able to grind out a victory from his stable mate TAY TAY (Rock N Roll Heaven – Jets Girl 2.2.1, $3,580), which could have won had driver James Herbertson desired. TAY TAY went to the line without being pushed after settling last of the three runners and coming to the outside on the home turn. He is worth following but with the extraordinary amount of talent around in the juvenile ranks, he doesn’t quite make it into the black book. SPORTSSEAL (Sportswriter – Tessanover) set up the speed and was run down from the home turn.

Mile Rate: - 2.3.8            Final Half: - 57.1               Margins: - ½ head, 25m

Trial 6: - IM READY JET settled three back on the markers, moved into the one out and one back trail with 500m remaining and came to the outside on the home turn. She jogged to victory in what was a good hit out for the Starlet Trot at Cranbourne on Sunday. FORGOT TO REMEMBER dashed to the lead in the early stages and tried to lead throughout. She has done everything right in her past couple of trial performances and she was able to hold down second position comfortably. MYRTLE VALE scrambled at the start, moved up without cover and finished third in front of DOWNUNDER BARKERS, which trailed the leader throughout and started yielding ground from the home turn.

Mile Rate: - 2.5.3            Final Half: - 59.2               Margins: - 3m, 12m

Trial 7: - QUALITY SUNSET is a classy 3yo filly but she is not entirely fool proof. She was without cover early, pushed to the lead at the 1700m and was always in control. She dashed clear in the run to the judge but the unfortunate part of the performance was she galloped coming up to the winning post, which is a concern considering the outstanding fillies she will be up against in the Starlet Trot at Cranbourne on Sunday. IKARA (Andover Hall – Glenferrie Sunbird $10,432) ran a nice trial for an unraced qualifier. He showed gate speed to lead, took a trail behind the winner and came to the outside with 500m remaining to chase. He got a little weary late but he met a smart horse and he beat the others by a large margin. ORLANDOS GIFT finished in third position after being three back on the markers throughout and QUAKER MAKER (4 back markers) was fourth. SURBITON PRETENDER was last on the markers for the majority of the journey and beat home ARAIGNEE FLAIR (5 back markers), which broke stride with 800m remaining.

Mile Rate: - 2.3.7            Final Half: - 59.8               Margins: 15m, 20m

Trial 8: - SHE SAILZ has ability but her manners can let her down at this stage of her career. She prepared for the Home Grown Classic Series at Maryborough on Monday with a big victory where she led throughout and scored by 90m! CENTRAL OTAGO (Love You – Sumthingaboutmaori 2.0.9, $461,499) is out of the Inter Dominion winning mare Sumthingaboutmaori and is also engaged to compete in a heat of the Home Grown Classic series. He settled in third, didn’t chase the runaway leader and only came to the outside with 300m remaining. He worked into second in front of PARISIAN ARTISTE (Love You – Schleck $16,489), which settled fourth on the inside with ROCKYOMBA (trailed the leader) being the fourth placed horse across the line. COTE DOR (Love You – Donegal Flat) broke at the start and missed away by approximately 60m so he was last for the entire journey.

Mile Rate: - 2.5.0            Final Half: - 62.4               Margins: - 90m, 2m

Trial 9: - AMOUR MATERNAL (Love You – My Valerie 1.54.8, $132,655) trailed the leader early, ended up being three back on the markers and came to the outside with 350m remaining. She sprinted home nicely to get the prize, seemingly with plenty in reserve. She is a beautifully bred filly and is due to make her debut in a heat of the Home Grown Classic at Maryborough on Monday. SURBITON ARMISTICE jumped away in third, pushed forward to find the lead at the 1400m and was seemingly going to win the trial but broke stride with 50m remaining. SHIPS SUCCESS was third after leading out then taking a trail. ELLEN RUVAL (Danny Bouchea – Joan Ruval) settled forty metres behind the bunch and finished fourth with MONTELENA (Love You – Maori Daunou) trailing her throughout and didn’t chase the group at any stage.

Mile Rate: - 2.13.4          Final Half: - 62.3               Margins: - 2m, 4m

TABCORP PARK, MELTON 29/09/20

Trial 1: - ILLAWONG BARMAH prepared for the Home Grown Classic series with a big victory in the opening trial. He led all of the way and was given a good hit out, dashing home in fast final sectionals and winning by nearly thirty metres. FREE STARR (Majestic Son – Amelia Pond 2.7.1, $14,090) was third early but ended up trailing the leader and battled into second placing. BROMWICH came out of the gate strongly and was looking for a forward position. He got in behind the leader but galloped with 1400m remaining and lost approximately 30m. He tacked onto the group, moved up without cover at the bell and did a very good job to finish in third position. JAHBELLA was three back on the markers for the majority of the trip and finished in fourth ahead of MAJESTIC SAINT, which was one of the last horses following the markers throughout.

Mile Rate: - 1.59.6          Final Half: - 57.97    Margins: - 29.5m, 4m

Trial 2: - TORNADO VALLEY recorded very quick time and defeated the pacers after he shot to the front in the early stages and set up a genuine tempo. He should be just about ready to find winning form again. MAJOR EXCLUSIVE settled four back on the markers and moved up without cover from the 500m. He was closing in but just failed to peg back TORNADO VALLEY in the run to the post. ARABELLA STAR trailed the leader and used the sprint lane to finish a close up third with SMALL TOWN (3 back pegs, 1-1 at the 300m) running a close up fourth. BELLIGERENCE was last of the five runners throughout.

Mile Rate: - 1.56.7          Final Half: - 56.32    Margins – Head, 1.5m

Trial 3: - CHEVRON ACTION began brilliantly from the wide draw and was able to get across to find the lead around the first corner. She rolled along at a reasonable tempo and got the prize from ITSALLANDOVER which showed gate speed and trailed the leader with ALDEBARAN BELLE finishing third from three back on the markers. HAMMERS PEGASUS dropped back to fourth, moved up without cover from the 700m mark and broke stride shortly afterwards, dropping out to run a long last.

Mile Rate: - 2.1.6            Final Half: - 58.38    Margins: - 5.5m, 8.5m

Trial 4: - Only two horses contested the open class trial but STAR OF MEMPHIS was impressive. He trailed his stable mate BEACH SURGE, came to the outside turning for home and produced a devastating burst of speed to win clearly in fast time.

Mile Rate: - 1.54.7          Final Half: - 55.74    Margin: - 18m

Trial 5: - GOODMAN settled in fourth position, moved into the one out and one back trail with 500m remaining and came out three horses wide on the home turn. He produced a strong finish and scored by a large margin. DREAMCATCHER SWE showed gate speed but ended up being three back on the markers and made her forward move from the 500m mark. She loomed up on the turn but she couldn’t withstand the challenge of GOODMAN. PROSTHESIS was slow into stride and missed the start by approximately 15m. He settled fifth on the markers and started to run on but commenced to trot roughly with 150m remaining and eventually rolled into a gallop. HES THE MIGHTYSPIN was in fourth position after showing gate speed, doing some work early and eventually finding the lead with a lap remaining. ARU AND ME led out and kept the lead until relenting to the pressure at the bell. He finished fifth in front of COCO LOMBO, which broke stride with 1400m remaining and was tailed off for the remainder of the journey.

Mile Rate: - 2.1.7            Final Half: - 60.57    Margins: - 11m, 6m

Trial 6: - SANDAY began quickly, trailed the leader ITS BEAUJOLAIS and came to the outside in the straight. He finished off powerfully and got the prize but ITS BEAUJOLAIS kicked on very strongly in the run to the finish. Both horses performed brilliantly as they put a large gap on their rivals and the mile rate was superb at 1.53.5! MISS VICTORIA filled third spot after being three back on the markers throughout. HER HEART OF GOLD (4 back markers) and STEVIE DEE (5 back markers) were fourth and fifth respectively.

Mile Rate: - 1.53.5          Final Half: - 56.14    Margins: - 2.5m, 36.5m

BLACKBOOKERS: - Sanday, It’s Beaujolais

Trial 7: - THEULTIMATE began very quickly from a wide draw and took the lead. She was challenged shortly after the bell and took cover with a half mile remaining but as soon as she took cover, she wanted to race very fiercely. Despite wanting to pull hard in the final circuit, she still had a good kick left when she came to the outside turning for home and was able to get the money. LET’S GET SHORTY settled three back on the outside and came out four horses wide on the home turn. He finished off strongly to snare second in a good finish. FLYING ART was one out and one back before being left in the death seat at the 800m mark. He angled a little wider on the track to allow the hard pulling THEULTIMATE to receive a clear passage and he held on nicely in the run to the post. THE CHANCER (Bettors Delight – Fairest One Youare 1.57.4, $61,259) began quickly to trail the leader, used the sprint lane and finished a close up fourth. The trotter MOONLIGHT DREAM was without cover before progressing forward to lead at the half mile marker. She tired late but was able to beat home NIKKIS MACH, which was fifth on the markers throughout.

Mile Rate: - 1.58.0          Final Half: - 57.21    Margins: - ½ Neck, Short ½ Head

Trial 8: - CAPTAIN WILSON (Captaintreacherous – Saabette 1.56.2, $34,378) was third early but quickly manoeuvred away from the markers at the 1400m and pushed forward to find the front at the 1100m. He raced very greenly for the remainder of the trip but had enough speed to get the job done. WHISKEY AND RYE led out, took a trail then moved into the death seat at the 700m when CAPTAIN WILSON started to run about in the leading role. He moved alongside of CAPTAIN WILSON but both horses showed a bit of immaturity over the latter stages and wanted to switch off at the end. Both horses should continue to improve with the benefit of racing and are showing ability. SHAZZAM (A Rocknroll Dance – Embraced 1.59.7, $27,410) settled fourth on the inside, moved into the one out and one back trail at the 600m mark and finished on well. KIA ORA BEAUTY (Rock N Roll Heaven – Universal Alice 2.1.7, $22,326) trailed the leader early and ended up being three back on the markers. She beat home TINAS DELIGHT (Bettors Delight – Garden Gate Tina CA $146,804), which was without cover early, restrained to be last of the five runners and was in that position for the remainder of the journey.

Mile Rate: - 1.59.6          Final Half: - 58.04    Margins: - 1.5m, 4.5m

KILMORE 29/09/20

Trial 1: - GIVEITATRY produced an eye-catching performance when third at Maryborough on his debut and backed it up with a big trial victory. He settled fourth on the inside, gained the one out and one back trail at the bell and came out three horses wide from the 600m mark. He was able to extend beautifully over the concluding stages, winning by a big margin and seemingly with plenty in reserve. He is racing in a heat of the Home Grown Classic at Ballarat this evening. BUNDLE OF NOTES began quickly to lead, backed off the tempo mid-race and was no match for GIVEITATRY but beat the remainder of the field comfortably. REGALITY (Art Major – Shes Pinkalicious) was fifth on the markers before moving onto the back of GIVEITATRY (1-2) at the bell. He finished third in front of INFERRNO (Courage Under Fire – Allfouru), which trailed the leader and NIVEKALON EAGLE (Shadow Play – Piece Of My Heart 1.55.3, $41,112) was last after leaving the position of third on the markers to race without cover from the 1300m mark.

Mile Rate: - 2.3.8            Final Half: - 59.3               Margins: - 25m, 15m

Trial 2: - FOCUS STRIDE was an outstanding win for a 3yo colt taking on the open class pacers. The Bathurst Gold Chalice winner settled in third position, came to the outside with 300m remaining and finished hard to claim the leader BUSTER BRADY right on the line. BUSTER BRADY ran home in a last quarter of 27.3 seconds and was nosed out on the line so there was nothing wrong with the performance. SIRLETIC trailed the leader throughout and went to the line hard held in third position in what merely appeared to be a training exercise. BETTOR MY DREAMZ finished twelve metres from the winner in fourth position after being four back on the markers throughout but for a National Ratings 54 horse taking on the open class, it was an extremely good effort. He was performing very well at the trials last campaign but didn’t fire in two Australian starts then was spelled. This might be a prosperous preparation for his connections. BREVITY struck trouble in the score up and missed the start by approximately 50m so he was a long last throughout.

Mile Rate: - 1.58.4          Final Half: - 56.3               Margins: - Nose, 6m

BLACKBOOKER: - Focus Stride

Trial 3: - ALDEBARAN YAHTZEE showed gate speed to lead, set up a slow tempo and had a good kick left at the finish. BULLION HARRY (Muscle Hill – Miss Bullion 1.59.6, $75,075) finished in second position after settling third on the inside, moving up without cover at the 500m mark and running home fairly well late. He did have a tendency to race greenly and hang in over the concluding stages. Both horses are contesting a heat of the Home Classic series at Maryborough on Monday. ABUNDANCE trailed the leader throughout and finished third with WILANKA running last of the quartet after galloping at the start and losing approximately 40m early.

Mile Rate: - 2.6.4            Final Half: - 63.5               Margins: - 3m, 5m

Trial 4: - FULL NOISE showed no signs of racing roughly and dropping out like he did when leading at Shepparton last week and performed up to his usual high standard. He led throughout, ran along at a genuine tempo and blasted away from his rivals to win by a large margin. JAYBEEOHDEE (Angus Hall – Maori Vale 1.59.5, $35,615) began slowly and missed the start by 15m. He settled three back on the markers and finished off solidly via the sprint lane to snare second. READY TO RULE (Ready Cash – Maidstone Miss 2.2.5, $89,459) was a very good run in third position. He broke at the start and lost approximately 50m, tacked onto the group and moved to the outside with 400m remaining. He was looming up to second on the home turn but just peaked a little late but he was entitled to as the mile rate was strong. VENKMAN appeared to have her chance after trailing the leader and she came in last of the four runners.

Mile Rate: - 2.2.8            Final Half: - 61.2               Margins: - 30m, 4m

Trial 5: - ART OF SHENG LI was sent forward out three horses wide, wanted to hang out badly early in the first lap, but was able to run to the lead with 1500m remaining. She ran along at an even tempo and was able to score comfortably at the end. CAESAR MOON finished second after trailing the leader at the start and also for the final 700m when COULD BE WOODY left the markers. TED AND NED settled fifth on the markers, moved into the running lane (1-2) and ran into third with GIGIS GRINNER finishing fourth after being in various positions during the run (without cover, 4 back pegs, 1-1 at 700m, 3 wide turn). COULD BE WOODY began well to lead, took a trail and moved away from the markers with 700m remaining but tired late. MILLION DOLLAR ART was five and six back on the markers during the running and beat home MACRAY MUCHACHO, which was last throughout and started yielding ground with a lap remaining.

Mile Rate: - 2.1.7            Final Half: - 60.7               Margins: - 6m, 5m

Trial 6: - AMALFI COAST showed gate speed and trailed the leader, moved away from the inside at the 300m mark and was able to land the prize narrowly from DABYMINGA, which made a late lunge after being third on the markers, one out and one back approaching the home turn and three horses wide in the straight. ALTE showed good gate speed to lead and was run down over the final stages. He is drawn favourably at Cranbourne on Sunday. SCULLY settled fourth on the inside and remained in that position whilst KNOW REPLY (Heston Blue Chip – That’s All Right 1.59.9, $24,127) was last for the entire journey.

Mile Rate: - 2.2.4            Final Half: - 57.6               Margins: - ½ Head, 5m

Trial 7: - ALDEBARAN DEEBEE was third on the markers early, moved into the one out and one back trail at the 700m and came out three horses wide from the 500m. He was able to get home best and defeat LIFEINTHEBALANCE, which led out, took a trail and moved away from the inside at the 700m mark. MAGICAL was fourth on the markers and trailed up out three horses wide behind the winner ALDEBARAN DEEBEE leaving the back straight. She ran to the line fairly well for third position. The Swedish bred juvenile trotter ALDEBARAN LOVISA (Readly Express SWE – Excellent Boko SWE $21,133) stepped away well and remained out very wide on the track. She got across to the markers to lead at the 1700m and was run down over the latter stages. YANKEE MAUREEN (Yankee Spider – Mountain Earl 2.8.1, $30,850) was five back on the markers for the majority of the trip and KYVALLEY HELEN (Muscle Hill – Aldebaran Revenue) was always last after breaking at the start and losing approximately 60m.

Mile Rate: - 2.9.8            Final Half: - 62.0               Margins: - 4m, 10m
