TrotsVision will broadcast Sean O’Sullivan’s appearance in the Prix Des Rencontres Internationales at Vincennes during the early hours of tomorrow morning AEDT.
The young Victorian reinsman will partner the Kévin Busnel-trained Gounit De L’airou in the special international race, which features drivers from countries across the world.
O’Sullivan and Gounit De L’airou have drawn gate two, with the race scheduled for 7.46am AEDT.
The 23-year-old said while his horse wasn’t the best in the field, it didn’t appear a strong race.
“We will try and make the most of a really good draw. I wanted to get a nice draw, so I’m happy with that,” O’Sullivan said.
“I’ll see what the trainer wants me to do and hopefully we’re able to get into the money.”
O’Sullivan left Australia for France last week as part of an all-expenses paid trip facilitated by Harness Racing Victoria with great support from Hygain.
He has spent time working alongside world-renowned horseman Jean-Michel Bazire at the incredible Domaine de Grosbois training centre in Paris while taking in many of the famous tourist attractions within the region.
“The place is magnificent; all the horses are really well looked after. It’s just a magical place full of beautiful people,” O’Sullivan said.
“We’ve been to Napoleons tomb, the Eiffel tower, Notre Dame and the winter market there. It was like a winter Christmas dream that we don’t get in Australia.”
O’Sullivan follows in the footsteps of Ryan Sanderson and James Herbertson as the third young Victorian driver to experience a working holiday in France since 2023.
Saturday morning’s coverage of Vincennes will start from 7am AEDT at TrotsVision.com.au.
