Ryan Sanderson’s start in the Prix Des Rencontres Internationales at Vincennes will be broadcast on TrotsVision this Saturday morning.
The young Victorian reinsman will partner the Matthieu Lebrec-trained Fan De Phyt’s in the 2100m event, which is scheduled to run at 8.09am AEDT.
The pair will leave from barrier nine, the widest position on the front line.
Sanderson has spent the past week in France learning under world-renowned horseman Jean-Michel Bazire at the stunning Domaine de Grosbois training centre, where he has driven fast work in training. He has also accompanied stable horses to Vincennes and was even trusted to warm-up one trotter before his race yesterday.
Sanderson, identified as having an outstanding resume in performance and character, was the first person selected for the new Harness Racing Australia and Harness Racing Victoria initiative, which will see a talented young Victorian driver stay in France and compete in the Prix Des Rencontres Internationales for at least the next four years.
Coverage of Saturday morning’s Vincennes meeting will begin from 6.30am AEDT at TrotsVision.com.au, with thanks to Sky Racing.
