Hype is building ahead of the Pryde's EasiFeed Victoria Cup with western speed machine Chicago Bull joining the fray ahead of next Tuesday's Official Barrier Draw.

Gary Hall Snr's six-year-old, who has been beaten only once in his last 11 starts, has been installed as a $3 favourite with TAB.com.au pre the closure of nominations at noon next Monday.

Chicago Bull's nomination has seen him join New South Wales hopes Tiger Tara and Majordan for Kevin Pizzuto and My Alpha Rock, Gotta Go Ya Hu and Franco Nelson for Shane and Lauren Tritton, a list certain to swell with Victorians by Monday.

All eyes will then turn to the 2018 Angelique Club Pryde's EasiFeed Victoria Cup Lunch and Official Barrier Draw, which will be at the Amora Hotel from noon on Tuesday, October 9.

It will be the second year the official lunch and draw has been hosted by the Angelique Club, which will again embrace a spring racing theme.

Club secretary Gay Donnelly said the lunch was "a great way to include the broader harness community in our club".

Formed some 24 years ago, the club blossomed on Saturday nights at Moonee Valley, where it united female trots fans who had previously sat seperately.

It continues to bring the women of the trots together, culminating in next Tuesday's celebration of the $200,000 Group 1 Cup.

Three fantastic prizes will be given away on the day. They are:

  • Table for four at Pryde’s EasiFeed Victoria Cup night in the prestigious Toolern Room at Tabcorp Park

  • Table for four in the Terrace Restaurant on Ballarat Pacing Cup Night (January 19)

  • Tiered Dining table for four at the Cranbourne Cup Night (October 27)
