Victorians dominate Australian Horse of the Year awards

Victorian-trained pacers and trotters have dominated the annual Australian Horse of the Year awards.

The state secured 10 of the 15 awards on offer, with the Emma Stewart most successful with three gongs for her stable stars.

Stewart’s Major Delight (2YO Pacing Filly of the Year), Encipher (3YO Pacing Filly of the Year) and Ladies In Red (Aged Pacing Mare of the Year) were all successful in their respective categories.

Retired champion King Of Swing was named Australian Harness Horse of the Year for a record-equalling third time.
