WATCH: Bob completes amazing Showgrounds, Valley, Melton treble

Bob Kuchenmeister was the toast of Tabcorp Park on Tuesday night after completing a memorable treble in the sulky.

The 81-year-old had to produce some of his best skills with the reins to hold his mare Leanne Leeann in gait, but he kept her trotting well enough to score victory in the Nutrien Equine Trot.

It meant a rare place in history for the Inverleigh horseman, who has now driven winners at premier Victorian tracks The Showgrounds, Moonee Valley and Melton.

Despite his success, Kuchenmeister wanted to keep the champagne on ice for a while longer.

“It’s got to be a metropolitan (win),” he said.

“I want a metro win and I’ll have won a metro at all those tracks.”

Kuchenmeister has now driven Leanne Leeann, a horse he trains for owners Brooke Sadler and Janice McLennan, to eight victories.
