Majestic Man’s ready to let rip in the Woodlands Stud Great Southern Star, which reinsman Brad Williamson called “a cool experience and quite a cool concept” when he joined Josh Jenkins for a special TAB Summer of Glory edition of Harnessed.
Jenkins takes a close look at both Nights 3 and 4 of the TAB Summer of Glory, including delving into the Del-Re National A. G. Hunter Cup and Cogs Services 4YO Bonanza.
But first stop is tomorrow’s rich trotting heats-into-final Great Southern Star, which Williamson’s Majestic Man will tackle for the third time, having finished third in 2021 and broken gait in the heat last year.
“For him to jump straight into winning form (last week at Ballarat), it gives you a bit of confidence that if things pan out our way with draws and that sort of thing that he’s good enough to be right there at the finish,” he told Harnessed.
“He’s very honest and genuine and has been racing at the top level his whole life. Short distance mobile racing, that’s when you see the best of him.
“(The Great Southern Star) has obviously built up a bit of prestige now in Australian racing and I’m looking forward to the night and hopefully luck plays our way.”
