WATCH: How Maddie’s Comet won her heart and a wonderful life

When Madelaine Smith found out one of her favourites at David Aiken’s stable, Comet (aka Hammers Hellpatrol), was retiring from racing she reached out to offer him a second chance beyond the track.

Comet now has a bright future full of adventures through liberty training and a wonderful home full of love.

The HRV Hero Direct Off The Track program offers everyone the opportunity to meet beautiful standardbreds just like Comet, offered directly from their racing contacts. The program is bridging the gap between the racing industry and equestrian contacts and giving more standardbreds the chance to connect with their next families.
