OVERVIEW: This is a lowly assessed and even trotting field. GUNSEN ROSIE (3) had to do it tough last start and went amiss late when tiring. Her prior runs were solid. She doesn’t possess a sharp turn of foot, so she will rely on even splits. MACHO MAORI (8) has been racing consistently and has the barrier to hold the fence and secure a good run. He has the best sectional times in the field. PLAYA DEL CARMEN (4) races well when saved on the fence and has hit the line strongly at her past two starts. BET BET HOTSHOT (6) is still a maiden but his past two runs have been among his best. The barrier is tricky, but he is nearing a breakthrough win.
