OVERVIEW: BETTORPATCHMEUP (3) was shuffled back on the markers and produced a big finale when an eye-catching third at Ararat then followed with a fourth at Stawell, where he worked hard early before gaining a trail. He is racing well and deserves to break through for a win. THEROUX (2) settled on the markers, was dragged back through the field by a tiring runner and charged home along the sprint lane when an unlucky second at Kilmore last outing. He is meeting a field of similar standard and must be considered amongst the leading chances. VILLAGE VOICE (8) is awkwardly drawn but continues to perform consistently and should be finishing off strongly. She did well throughout the Pleasant Creek series, where a handy finishing third in both the heat and the final on the same day. NO EMOTION (9) gets into this race nicely with the aid of a concession claim and EMJAY JAZZ (10) finished second in reasonable time at a Maryborough trial effort last week.
BACK: BETTORPATCHMEUP (3) – 1.5 units (each way)
