BEST BET ($50 Win)

R5 N1 MAJOR MOTH

There’s been great conjecture over whether this juvenile machine leads or trails his stablemate Act Now in transit but it shouldn’t matter. Personally, I think he’ll trail and blast on by in the closing stages.

BEST VALUE ($20 Win)

R7 N12 LOORIM LAKE

I have little doubt this citizen of the world was top seed in his Breeders Crown division before a bizarre run last weekend. The draw is a major drawback, but his prior was first-class and he can overcome obstacles.

MONEY RACE ($30 flexi trifecta)

R5

Getting the map right will obviously be critical here but I expect Act Now (2) will lead with Major Moth (1) trailing and the Moth should nail his stablemate in the closing stages. Play skinny for third as peg-domination is likely.

1/ 2/ 4, 8 ($30 gets 1500%)

MONEY RACE ($30 flexi trifectas)

R8

Ladies In Red (10) and Tough Tilly (2) are both rising superstars and they should pair off to fight this out, with Ladies In Red (10) slightly favoured to prevail. The value lies in who runs third; if it’s Jo Rocks (1) or Momentslikethese (3) we’re in business.

10/ 2/ 1,3,4,5,8 ($20 gets 400%)

2/ 10/ 1,3,4,5,8 ($10 gets 200%)

EARLY QUADDIE ($30)

RACES 1-4: 13 / 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 10 / 1, 7, 8, 11, 12 / 1, 3, 4, 9, 12 ($30 gets 20%)

Placing early faith in the great Lochinvar Art here then opening my arms to the masses in the three trotting finals to follow. A split in any one of those legs will ensure we turn a profit.

QUADDIE ($40)

RACES 5-8: 1/ 1/ 1,9,12,13/ 2,10 ($40 gets 666.67%)

I am hoping and expecting we witness to painless lead-and-win jobs through the first half of tonight’s quad and if we do, then a positive return is almost certain, though getting Zeuss Bromac beaten would obviously aid our cause.

GARETH HALL

The RSN Central will join Adam Hamilton and Rob Auber in co-hosting tonight's Tabcorp Park coverage on Trots Vision at thetrots.com.au and Sky Racing Active.

BEST BET ($50 Win)

R3 N12 ALDEBARAN TESS

Aldebaran Tess has always shown that she has the ability of a Group 1 filly and she proved that with a brilliant display to lead all the way in her heat. Manners have let her down in the past but from the draw she will have plenty of time to settle, find her rhythm and then once again break her rivals’ hearts.

VALUE BET ($5 win x $20 place)

R2 N1 CRACKER JET

Love the way Cracker Jet has improved with each run this campaign and gets the perfect draw to be in the finish Saturday night. I have him sitting behind the leader and he can cause the upset at a double figure price.

ALL UP ($50 WIN)

R1 N13 LOCHINVAR ART: Best horse in the country and will once again prove that Saturday night.

R6 N3 SWEET LOUISE: Exciting filly who has so much raw ability and is only getting better. Dominated her semi-final and I expect her to dominate the final.

R7 N1 ZEUSS BROMAC: Did work at both ends and was off the fence to win his semi-final last week and tonight he gets the draw to lead, so I don’t know how they beat him.

MONEY RACE ($25)

R8

This will be the race of the night and I can’t split Tough Tilly and Ladies In Red. Treachery will follow Ladies in Red and from there she’s a strong chance to finish third.

2 / 10 / 5 ($12.50 gets 1250%)

10 / 2 / 5  ($12.50 gets 1250%)

EARLY QUADDIE ($25)

RACES 1-4: 13 / 1, 2, 3, 10 / 8, 13 / 1, 3, 4 ($25 gets 96%)

Lochinvar Art is the perfect horse to lead off an early quaddie, hoping for value in the second and if we get that we should finish with a profit.

QUADDIE ($25)

RACES 5-8: 1, 2 / 1 / 1 / 2, 10 ($25 gets you 625%)

ADAM HAMILTON

The TAB.com.au media manager will join Gareth Hall and Rob Auber in co-hosting tonight's Tabcorp Park coverage on Trots Vision at thetrots.com.au and Sky Racing Active.

BEST BET ($50 WIN)

R5 N1 MAJOR MOTH

This is one bet of the night horse. Getting better with every start and has the perfect draw. In the words of co-trainer Clayton Tonkin, “he’s got some real x-factor about him” this guy. Look for him to trail stablemate and main danger Act Now and overpower home late.

NEXT BEST ($30 WIN)

R10 N9 OUR PRINCESS TIFFANY

Superstar Kiwi mare who was driven like she needed the hit-out last week after a minor setback. Loved her last 150 metres. This is her target and expecting she will turn the tables on the airborne Miss Mcgonagall.

VALUE BET ($25 WIN)

R7 N12 LOORIM LAKE

What a revelation he’s been. Favourite for this race going into the series and his run in defeat was at least as big as any winner produced in the semis last week. Absolutely nothing went right. Awful draw, but that’s why we’re getting these odds. He’ll need a bit of luck, but I’m sure he’s the best horse in the race.

ROUGHIE ($10 EACH-WAY)

R6 N6 TECHYS ANGEL

This filly has grown on me. Never really been a fan, but her semi win was massive after working early, then getting a trail and emerging again late to blow them away. Tricky draw, but this is a thin final and she’ll give your each-way ticket a great run at surprisingly big odds.

THE EARLY QUADDIE ($25 gets 100%)

RACES 1-4: 13/2,3,6,9,10/1,4,7,8,12/4

Making Aldebaran Zeus the cost-saver and anchor in the last leg. He’s no moral, but clearly my top pick and you have cut some corners to try and get a dividend here. Despite the draw, expecting Lochinvar Art to win the opener. Think the second and third legs are a lot more open than the betting suggests, so go wide.

THE QUADDIE ($50 gets 100%)

RACES 5-8: 1/1,3,6,8,10/1,4,9,12,13/2,10

Pinning my hopes in Major Moth in the first leg one-out, then going wide in the second and third legs because I don’t think either Sweet Louise or Zeuss Bromac (hot favourites in those races) are any standouts. Need some value in one or both of those middle legs. Coming home with the two stars Tough Tilly and Ladies In Red.

DAN MIELICKI

The race caller will join Adam Hamilton, Gareth Hall and Rob Auber as part of tonight's wall-to-wall coverage on Trots Vision at thetrots.com.au and Sky Racing Active.

BEST BET ($70 all-up, both to win)

R5 N1 MAJOR MOTH

Has emerged as an exciting youngster who is likely to get the run of the race behind Act Now. However, he is capable of leading all the way. His point to point speed last week was breathtaking.

R8 N10 LADIES IN RED

Unbeaten, untapped. Exciting filly who has continued to get better with each start.

She was dominant again in last week’s semi-final making it six straight. Perhaps she faces a bigger challenge from the back row but there is no ceiling to know just how good she is.

VALUE BET ($15 win x $30 place)

R4 N3 WATTS UP MAJESTIC

Powered home in his heat at Maryborough in an eye-catching performance. He represents good each-way value.

ROUGHIE ($8 win x $25 place).

R9 N12 SHEZA PLEASURE

Mexicana is the logical horse to beat, but this filly is tough and with a lot more ability than the betting market suggests. I think she will give a big sight at long odds.

EARLY QUADDIE ($16 for 25%)

RACES 1-4: 1,13/1,2,3,6,9,10/7,8,12/3,4.

The value might come through the second leg (R2). While Powderkeg is my top selection I think there are five other winning chances. There may not be a lot of value in the early quad so I am happy to come home with just Watts Up Majestic and Aldebaran Zeus in the final leg.

QUADDIE ($36 for 50%)

RACES 5-8: 1,2/1,3,6,8,10,12/1,9,12/2,10

My two best bets book end the main quaddie in Major Moth and Ladies In Red, but I have thrown in their main dangers in both legs remembering we have the $70 all-up on the two of them to win.

It’s a skinny quaddie, but they’re the best horses, with the best draws.
