Ellen Tormey, the leading reinswoman on the State Drivers’ Premiership, is in for a busy Friday night at Mildura with engagements in 10 of the 12 races.

Tormey is a regular participant at Sunraysia meetings and few navigate their way around the tight circuit better than the Bendigo-based 32-year-old.

Tormey, who has won 46 races from 261 drives at Mildura this season, has given an insight into the chances of the horses she will partner on Friday night.

RACE 1 - EUSTON CLUB 3YO PACE

GUARANTEED SECRET (for Mark Thompson)

“This race is a drop in class for her as she has met fairly strong fields at her last couple. She is some chance if she puts her best foot forward.”

RACE 2 - THE GATEWAY MILDURA PACE

THIS IS BILL (Scott Garraway)

“He has been working well and this is a perfect draw for him as he likes to lead. Good chance.”

RACE 3 - PARK DOUGLAS PRINTING PACE

GOOD ONYA (Sandra O'Connor)

“He is a sit sprinter who has been racing consistently and can figure in the finish if the race is run to suit.”

RACE 6 - GOOD DEAL TYRES PACE

BLAZIN BEAUTY (Scott Garraway)

“She is racing better than her form reads as she has had no luck in recent starts. She has gate speed, so I think I am a chance to cross the pole marker.”

RACE 7 - TASCO PETROLEUM PACE

PROSECCO BOY (Mark Watson)

“He is racing really well and is a tough horse. He won’t be far away despite the second-row draw.”

RACE 8 - TENDERPRINT AUSTRALIA PACE

BRALLOS PASS (Mark Watson)

“This is his first start as a gelding as his attitude has been poor for a while now. He trialled well behind Patsbeachstorm at Shepparton.”

RACE 9 - EUSTON CLUB RESORT PACE

STEAL SOME TIME (Sandra O'Connor)

“She has been racing really well and if she can find the pegs, she can win one of these sorts of races soon.”

RACE 10 - HORSELAND MILDURA PACE

REALITY PLAYER (Sandra O'Connor)

“She hasn’t had many starts and probably just looking for her to get around doing everything right.”

RACE 11 – ONE STOP WHOLESALERS MILDURA PACE

THE MACH ARMY (Kylie Bevington)

“He didn’t go too bad last start. He has issues getting around the turns and they have been tinkering with his gear to make him more tractable.”

RACE 12 – TAB LONG MAY WE PLAY PACE

OVERREACTION (Scott Garraway)

“He tends to pull in his races. He shows speed when he draws the front and if he can show the same speed at the end of the race, he has some chance.”
