Sales Day: Muscle Hill filly tops 2021 APTS trotting sale

A filly with a true international pedigree topped today’s Australasian Premier Trotting Sale results.

Lot 126, a Muscle Hill filly from Swedish bred mare Swede Dreams, was purchased by Aldebaran Park for $76,000.

The bay yearling’s granddam is by the immortal Italian bred sire Varenne and belongs to a top northern hemisphere family, which boasts multiple European grand circuit winner Meadow Roland.

Lot 116, a Father Patrick-Mystic Hush filly, went for $50,000, while Lots 106 and 119 – a Father Patrick-Kyvalley Bling colt and a Majestic Son-Sciamachy colt – fell for $48,000 and $39,000 respectively to John Nicholson

Rounding out the top five was Lot 101, a Majestic Son-Fortunate Phoenix filly, purchased by Ken Fulton.

Strong bidding was a feature of the 2021 APTS, with above average attendance at the Inglis Sales Complex in Oaklands Junction and lots of bidding online.

HRV provided a live broadcast of the APTS sale on Trots Vision and social media, which can be viewed below.
