The TAB has opened markets on the feature race series which will be held here in Victoria during November and December.
Sundees Son, a star in New Zealand trained by Robert and Jenna Dunn, was backed in from $21 to $5 through the early stages of betting and holds clear favouritism in the squaregaiting division over Andy Gath-trained Majestuoso ($7.50) and fellow Kiwi Bolt For Brilliance ($9).
Belinda McCarthy-trained Spirit Of St Louis opened $5 and was quickly supported into $4 to be the pronounced ID22 pacing favourite over stablemate Expensive Ego, reigning two-time Victorian Horse of the Year Lochinvar Art, New Zealand star Self Assured and Aaron Dunn’s emerging gun Bondi Lockdown (all $8).
The 2022 Inter Dominion series will have heats run at Ballarat (November 26), Shepparton (November 29) and Geelong (December 3) before grand finals at Melton (December 10).
