Trial file followers won't have to wait long to transform Craig Rail's eagle eye into opportunities with two fresh Blackbookers to step out in coming days.

Andy Gath's new addition Globe Trekker has gone straight into the book ahead of his debut at Tabcorp Park Melton on Saturday night, when the former Kiwi will step out in the first against another Blackbooker, All Cashed Up.

Globe Trekker trialed at Melton on Tuesday when Rail noted he "led throughout and won the trial under a strong hold, so he obviously appears to have a promising future in Australia". Can he become another Norm Jenkin-owned, Gath-trained former Kiwi star?

Rail was also taken by the run of maiden My Golden Eagle, who races for David Aiken on Monday at Kilmore in the TAB Long May We Play 3YO Pace. In a trial at Shepparton on March 11 Rail said My Golden Eagle "put in a very eye-catching performance".

See below for Rail's wrap of every Victorian trial, including replays of his Blackbook additions. Scroll to the bottom for his updated Blackbook.

SHEPPARTON 11/03/21

Trial 1: - RETURN SOLDIER settled in the one out and one back trail, came out three horses wide from the 300m and hit the front turning for home. He sustained the run to win in handy time. HEREHECOMES settled three back on the outside and followed RETURN SOLDIER into the race. He finished off nicely and he had something in reserve so it was a very good trial performance leading into his effort at Echuca this evening. MONGIANA raced without cover and had a decent crack for the lead in the back straight on the first occasion but was unsuccessful and was forced to endure a tough run. It was a good effort in third position but he is meeting a tough field in the Echuca Pacing Cup this evening. STARSBYTHEBEACH settled four back on the outside and was never fully extended. TIDAL SURGE settled seventh on the markers, was held up for a run at a vital stage and finished off nicely through the middle for a handy fifth.
