SELECTIONS: TOO THE MAX (6), CALEDONIAN RANGER (10), MUSELET (5), YANKEE GAMBLER (4)

OVERVIEW: TOO THE MAX (6) hasn’t finished further back than fourth at his past nine starts and has the early speed to be prominent throughout. He finished off well for third in a handy mile rate of 1.56.3 at Ballarat last outing. CALEDONIAN RANGER (10) broke stride early and came from tailed off when a big sixth at his latest appearance. He is poorly drawn but is a winning chance if he gets away safely. MUSELET (5) led out then took cover when he dashed through to win over Byrneside Boom at Maryborough last outing. He is likely to try and adopt a similar tactic now so he looms as a winning chance again. YANKEE GAMBLER (4) raced without cover throughout, hit the lead in the home straight and was beaten on the line when a brave second at Ballarat last week. He is a strong type and is racing in peak form so he deserves to break through for a win. DE BEAU ROCK (7) has several fast beginners drawn on his inside and he performs best when he is able to lead but he is racing well enough to figure in the finish. TUKURUA (8) has performed well in all of his three starts since coming from New South Wales and should be finding the line nicely.

BACK: TOO THE MAX (6) – 1.5 units (each way)
